Twitter Bath Death

A teenage girl was electrocuted after dropping her laptop into the bath as she twittered in the tub.

Police said they believed Maria Barbu, 17, had tried to plug in her laptop with wet hands after the battery died during a long session on social networking site Twitter as she took a soak at her home in Brasov, central Romania.

She was found dead by her parents with the laptop lying next to her.

edit - Seriously through, you do not need to have a breakthrough in biochemistry to create something amazing. There are always new ways to utilize simple or preexisting elements to create something entirely unique.

Its not and I cant fucking stand when people on Facebook or MySpace update their profile every hour so you know exactly what they are or arent doing.

Tyen is right, whoever made this is making millions off of it for basically nothing. Im sure now it costs some cash to have the servers and what not to keep up the website, but now the cost to profit ratio is probably heavy on the profit side.

I don't even think it does yet. Clearly whoever started it could sell it for hundreds of millions due to the popularity and growth potential, but I don't think they've monetized it yet.

I just looked at a Twitter page. There are no ads. How is Twitter monitized? Just sell it to google like YouTube and let them keep it alive at a huge loss?
