I had the urge to pee all day today, the very day that I had tickets to Caps v Rags Game 7 but had to take an exam 90 minutes before face-off. But the UTI meds turned my urine red, the Caps won their 1-3 comeback, and NJ lost in the last 90 seconds. So we have Caps vs. Pens and Obama still hasn't seen a hockey game yet.

This shit boggles my mind. Aren't there more than 100 fatalities due to car accidents every day? Nobody ever accused us of having a "car pandemic". Why is 40 people with a single digit odds of dying to the FLU, of all things, news? Media fearmongering is just getting lazy at this point.

Even though this might be a bit overkill on a story that really is not as news worthy as they are making it, I have no problem with it. I would much rather overkill a medical situation that did not present as a true pandemic than do little when the real one does come. At least this way maybe some of the federal money that we seem to have an endless supply of might actually be going to something worthwhile.

I imagine this story is going to hang around for a while. America is after all the world leader in /drama. Is sad because they did find out what caused the death of those 21 Jockey horses and yet nothing was even said about that except for a small bit on yahoo.

News is reporting a death in Houston, TX from a kid that came from Mexico "recently" and is not a US citizen as they put it. They really don't say or don't know how "recently". I'm wondering how long till people in Mexico start to leave if they are able. Countries are closing flights from Mexico and the US but we are asking people if they feel ok...assuming they come to the country via a border crossing/flight.

Of course stupid shit the local high school band left for Mexico yesterday and the article in the paper said "We couldn't get a refund so we had to go cause it was already paid for"....
