Actually the situation you are quoting is in fact enforced sometimes. Which is why if you are drag racing and someone is in the car with you they get a ticket too... because they could have gotten out of the car... You know, the cops could of done it because in their mind you have no recourse? You going to go to the police station and say "yeah I was trying to scam my way into clubs when some cops came up and scammed me!"

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Next time have your friends use a little more common sense. While cops certainly shouldnt be doing what they did, what you buddy did was pretty god damn retarded.

While I disagree heavily with your first point, as you don't automatically forfeit your property just because your friends do something dumb. Yes, you can walk right into the police station and demand your property as it should have been placed into evidence.

If they can't produce your property, you sue them and try to get criminal charges filed. Plus, call every local news station you can, with all the faggot cops lately this may make a headline.
