Are you retarded dak? Not to mention all of them are fucking vertical, none of them are bed ridden. They are fat, because they don't take care of their health, and they are lazy to boot, period. Genetics can predispose you to easily build muscle or fat or neither, but lifestlye is learned. The parents have no jobs because they're lazy, period. They are to blame. They fail, hence their kids fail in suit. Vegetables are too expensive? Are they fucking kidding? Four boxed TV dinner pot pies are more expensive. They are lazy. They cannot even be bothered to cook let alone exercise, let alone get off the couch and earn a living like the rest of the world.

That's such a fucking cop out. It's like people who claim to be addicted to weed, or MMO's. Fuck off, no you aren't, you're just too lazy to stop doing something you enjoy so you try to justify it to yourself by labelling it as an addiction.

| I rarely meet a fatty who takes the blame for his/her obesity on their own behemoth shoulders. It is always someone else's fault. I'm in well above average shape but I attribute that not only to my genetic makeup (I've been thin my entire life) but I wouldn't be where I'm at without hard work and exercise nearly every day. I am fine with saying genetics is partially to blame but laziness is the equal culprit in a fat person's weight. |

Cost? $2.40. Hungry Man Meal with 3 greasy bits of chicken and no nutritional value? $5. Those who thing veg are pricey are just too lazy to cook, as you have said. Took me close to an hour preparing my chops, veg and rice, but my return was a meal fit for a king. Five minutes of Hungry Man and you got a meal at double the cost of a King's meal with less than peasant quality. Pig slop is what it is. IMHO, peasants get what they deserve if they are too lazy to cook.

| I think a few years ago, healthy foods were quite a bit more expensive - I noticed that myself. I could go buy a lot of greens, with a few other things for way more than just junk food. But today, its a bit different. I think the junk food has caught up in price of veggies/etc, and now its just all expensive. No real excuse to say "But eating healthy is so expensive!". Now - if you want 100% organically grown stuff - thats still a bit expensive. |

| Actually I remembered yesterday there was an episode of house with a really obese girl that had a tumor pushing on her pituitary gland i think which caused Cushings which caused her to be obese. She did like 3x the exercise the other kids did , ate half the calories and couldn't lose the weight. Honestly unless you have some condition like the above there really isn't an excuse. I say this knowing I have pounds to lose. I need to do more exercise and actually eat regularly because even though my calorie consumption is typically at or below recommended guidelines, the fact that I skip breakfast nearly everyday and don't eat much for lunch and then have dinner creates a huge issue for my metabolism - which actually DOES happen to be a bit on the slow side (as is my whole fathers side of the family). I had a smokin hot bod in college because all I did was walk around campus and actually eat food more than 2 times a day. ALL of that aside though its my fucking fault I'm carrying the extra weight. I have to make myself eat (oh the irony), choose better foods, and exercise. I don't say "oh well my whole fathers side of the family that I happen to be the most like is like this so it means I'm doomed to be a fatty". So people like this (aside from the fact that hey while I'm fat I'm not as Kevin Spacey said, orca fat) tend to really piss me off. Last edited by Etoille; 03-19-2009 at 09:53 AM.. |

This is a crock. like 90% of people who say "they cant control it" are just using it as an excuse. And of the 10% who actually DO have a medical issue is it right that these people who can OBVIOUSLY work are gaming the system? Does someone having a predisposition to an addictive personality, through genetics or how they were raised get to say in a court of law "I smoke crack, I can't control it, please give me more crack?" No. This is Ricky Gervais (creator of the original british office tv show) on the subject. Last edited by Tuco; 03-19-2009 at 10:46 AM..
