Armchair doctor playing I am but I know the stats on sclc survival too and from his first post I don't think he sounded like he really needed facts right now. Sometimes you just play it down because if you read the stuff on SCLC.. well.. be nice it's better that way.

There is no such thing as benign small cell carcinoma of the lung.

Being nice is important, but making shit up is not helpful. I've had a member of my immediate family die from a similar ailment and I can't imagine what it would be like to have this happen to me. You can't make the decisions you need to make without realistic information, though.

Well I was wrong. Carcinoma != to benign One of my teachers is throwing an epic fit right now since I forgot that part.. I still think it's better to be more humane and truthfull then the brutal honesty of aychamo given the OP's first post but I'll slink off quietly since I'm wrong..

Good luck buddy, if they caught it early enough they can do a lot for ya, but honestly speaking it is one of the nastier cancers out there and you will have to put up one hell of a fight.

You might look into Macrobiotics. It's been known to do some amazing things for people with Cancer.

Honestly that's always been my plan if I ever found out I had a form of aggressive/terminal cancer. Even if it doesn't work, what have you got to lose?

Whatever you choose to do I hope for best outcome for you. I don't speak much around these parts but I've been around since the earliest days of this forum and your name is one that I will never forget...and hope to see more of in the future.

Fight it till the end (or till you win) then choose the way you want to die. For instance, skydive out of a plane and try to land assfirst on an immigrant boat from Haiti or some ridiculous shit. Something memorable!
