China isn't going to be fucked because of the population overall, but the composition of that population. They have far too many males per female in the young ages, and not nearly enough young people for all the old people they're going to have in about 25 years. It's going to be a demographic meltdown of epic proportions.

I've said it before, but China could easily "raid" Russia for women or men, depending on needs and not feel the least bit strained. Look for a Chinese-led continent by 2050.

It'll be Europa (Islamic Europe), Sino-Asia, and America.

It is a problem, but it is somewhat overblown. A lot of people are being sent overseas anyways as China reaches out. In fact, Nigeria has more Chinese people there than the British ever did at the height of colonial power. Chinese people are being sent everywhere

Given finite resources, a nation's standard of living is correlated with its resource to people ratio. The one-child policy was introduced because China feared food shortages and did not want to depend on, say, the US for food. India, if its birth rate remains high, will be feeling this crunch eventually, though I should mention that India, despite being smaller than China, actually has more arable land = can support more people (food-wise; land-wise, perhaps not so much). Most of Western China is mountains and deserts.

I don't think immigration alone keeps the US growing. There's a lot of uneducated white people having babies. Immigrants also tend to have more children, though.

You'd think the generous social welfare system in Europe would encourage more children. In the UK, you can get a house on the welfare system and never work a day.

Believe it or not, there are plenty of families I've seen with more than one kid. If you're well off especially, there are numerous ways around it

Yes, you can pay a huge, huge, huge tax for it. If you're well off, you can have more than 1. The tax is extremely high for any average Chinese though. One of my chinese coworkers told me that it is over 1 year of her entire salary.
