on the one hand i can easily consider this crash a miracle that nobody was seriously injured let alone killed. on the other hand i find it a bit insulting to the pilot that his years of flying experience and high skilled performance was attributed to some cheesy miracle.

And if you put plexiglass in front of a jet engine, I'm not sure what would happen, but assuming the the jet engine doesn't require pressure in order to operate, the engines wouldn't stall, but the plane would go into a stall.
