Everyone knows the Democrats caused the housing crisis. It all goes back to Jimmy Carter, who passed a law to get poor folks (read: minorities) into houses. Apparently these mortgages must have been made in the '70s, yet didn't adjust upward until 2007! Rush Limbaugh can't be wrong.

If you're a democrat, its all the republicans fault. If you're a republican, its all the democrats fault. Facts are not important. All that matters is the R or D.

The country is starting to see the Republicans for what they really are.

RNC candidate distributes controversial Obama song

Quote:
RNC candidate Chip Saltsman’s Christmas greeting to committee members includes a music CD with lyrics from a song called “Barack the Magic Negro,” first played on Rush Limbaugh’s popular radio show.
I don't think any doubt is left however the next few years will see the Republicans sink even further in the depths of racism and hatred. The world will be disgusted by what they will see at the RNC convention in 2012.

The Republicans will ride that Southern train all the way into the gutter they are now in.

Also at GOP chair 'appalled' by 'Magic Negro' CD - Mike Allen - Politico.com

The RNC is trying to "distance" themselves but it is too little too late.

I really hope the Republicans even things out by becoming more socially moderate. I have no doubt that they will recover somehow, but I really hope it isn't by becoming more "conservative" (what is usually meant by this is more overtly religious, has nothing to do with fiscal conservatism).

IRB,

You know that song was first played on the Limbaugh show in 2007. If you had such issue with it, then I would have expected you to be all over that ages ago. Its really old news, kinda like the election.

I really think you're going to be out of media matters talking points in a year or so.

This really matters. This CD was distributed by someone who wants to be the RNC chair. The song is clearly racist and is about the next president of the united states.

fuck that noise, we need less partisanship, not more.

Well yeah, I agree the song shouldn't be distributed by someone who wants to be the RNC chair. I disagree its racist though, but to each their own.

I'm not even going to bother on your partisanship comment. There isn't a single non-partisan person in Washington.

If the song was about George the magic honky and being distributed by Al Sharpton, it would be racist. Or if it was Pedro the magic beaner and being distributed by Lou Dobbs, it would be racist. The song is very clearly racist, you're being purposely obtuse if you say it isn't.

Fixed for you.

BTW: Here is the origin of the song's lyrics. Feel free to check the date. Obama the 'Magic Negro' - Los Angeles Times

People STILL talk about Jackson and his "Heimytown" comments, like 20 years later. Fact is it's racist and completely inappropriate for that guy to be sending out. If Rush wants to be racist, I don't really care. But the potential head of the RNC, well that's a different story.

I don't really see how the song is really racist especially after reading the article. This sort of vindicates my assumption that most democrats are whiner little crybabies that got beat up on recess one too many times. Black person is black, news at 11. If they didn't want to bring race into the fold then why is everyone making such a big deal that he is the first ever black president?

It's no surprise Rush played it. He already proved himself to be a racist with the ESPN gig he had. Anybody he doesn't think that song is racist clearly is a racist or just dumb.

its not racist for pointing out racially motivated treatment of someone. whether its negative or postive. mcnabb was getting his ass kissed by the media for being a great BLACK quarterback not for being just a great quarterback and from what i have heard he wasnt so great a quarterback either. the magic negro column was not written by rush, he was making fun of it to the delight of his listeners who may or may not have been racist. the words of the song are not racist, they make it very clear what the song is about. negro is not a racist word.
