Christ you are think. The democrats are full of suck, but at least they're trying to do something, even if they are failing. The Republicans aren't doing anything except fanning the flames of what could well end up being domestic terrorism.

Democrats may be getting shit done, but at least they aren't supporting this stupidity:

Yep. I mainly only know my representative, and don't really care about others all that much unless they make noise, which this guy never has before, which is why I asked.

See, keep going, and eventually you'll get to 100 democrats in the senate and a full democrat house, totally back to what I originally said (Since obviously, there are no democrat kooks).

Isn't it cool how that works?

So you say they are trying, but they are floundering at best, and they have not even past a year yet.

On the one hand, enough time has went by and enough congressional trainwrecks have happened that any republican can sit back and point the finger and laugh since the shoe is on the other foot, but on the other hand, how many more trainwrecks need we endure??

Sure they are trying, but whatever it is they are trying to do is causing more upheaval in the country than needed in the middle of this economic crisis. It seems the public has lost trust in them because of it.

I can guarantee that sleazeball Liebermann is out for good in '10. Between the flip-flopping between the Dems and Repubs, being Bush's butt buddy, and the shitty way he stole the last senate election he's toast.

And I wanna say that I'm a proud right-wing terrorist.
Fuck every last one of these nutjobs. For 8 years if I dare question our glorious leader Bush I'd get labeled a member of Al-Qaeda. This guy has been office 8 months, hasn't started any wars, has been busy fixing Bush's economy, and trying to get every American some form of healthcare. I never remember people on the left declaring ourselves Left-wing terrorists, do you know who did the terrorist name calling, the right.

Who knows maybe opening their eyes on these more liberal (lol) interpretations of what a terrorist is will soften their viewpoint on all the Palestinian terrorists. Maybe they can join forces now since Israel is a close ally of the US the Republicans must hate them to.

What do we as a country do when one of these people takes a shot at Obama, or sets off a bomb somewhere. When do foreign countries involved in the war on terrorism start launching their UAVs over US cities targetting republican politicians and pundits who are now viewed as radical leaders similar to the dudes we blow up in Pakistan.

PS: Olbermann is not a valid source of information, even if its just funny clips. He's the left wing pundit douchebag who does a great job of reinforcing the stereotype of the left being Hawty Elitist Pricks, fuck olbermann.

Democrats are certainly ineffective at best. But you're being dishonest in the implication that it's only a couple of kooks in the Republican party. And keep in mind, the people youa re dismissing as kooks are the absolute senior leadership of the party so... yeah.

When a man stands up at a rally and threatens to kill Senators, as an elected official you have a responsibility to react to that. When you don't condemn that kind of talk you are giving the implication taht you support it. Which Grassley does. Not to say that he wants to kill Senators, but he wants those kind of people on his side, showing up at Republican events, getting big press. That's his base, and as the leadership moves more towards the base, I don't see how there is any argument that the Republican party as a whole is anything other than a group of raving fucking lunatics.

In your posts you always try and bring it back to the Democrats, but it has nothing to do with them. If all of the Democrats disappear tomorrow, the Republicans will still be in-goddamn-sane.

What upheaval are they causing? What trainwrecks?

The democrats' big problem is they are trying to deal with the republicans to get things done and the republicans refuse to play ball. Sure the democrats aren't being successful in trying to get health care done, but the republicans are doing nothing but sitting there with their thumbs up their asses.

You piss on the democrats for not getting stuff done, but what have the republicans done? They have no leadership, no ideas, nothing. They are being as worthless as you on this board, throwing poo at the democrats but offering nothing of substance to back your arguments or no alternatives.

Agreed! But one would think that with a filibuster proof majority in the Senate plus an overwhelming majority in the House, that the Democrats would manage to get more done than the Republicans.

You would, if you didn't know anything about American politics. This is the kind of understanding that a child would have, and I know you're just baiting.

Do you really believe that?

The demo's have done nothing with the republicans together since obama took office and they took back power. They formulate the bills on their own behind closed doors and never let the republicans know anything about what really is in them till at the last minute. They introduce big amendments roughly 12 hours before a bill goes up for vote and the republicans are left scrambling to go through all the legal talk in it. etc, etc.

I admit I don't fully know all the issues happening in the houses, but I don't consider such antics like this that I've heard by one party to produce an environment conducive to progress at all. They tried to go this alone.
