This race thing reminds me of an insane story about an incumbent president (and straight up dictator) of a former soviet republic that challenged the other candidates to a ski race. My google-fu is not strong enough because I can't find the story... anyway, like the Palin thing it was farcical.

She's abandoned her state several times in favor of reclaiming the national spotlight. This has caused multiple ethics issues for her.

Her legal bills have been the subject of talk MORE than one time.

She's preserving her legal funds so people can donate to her campaign war chest instead of her legal defense fund.

If she is preparing for president, leaving her office before the term is up doesn't seem like a good plan.

Also reporting "sources" tell an NBC reporter "Palin is out of politics for good", though Palin isn't being clear on what is going on.
