Has Rush responded to Wanda yet? Seems odd that he would let that very public blow go unfettered. It means more comedians and non-comedians will push harder jokes.

I see now. You're one of those people that looks for reasons to be offended. It must be frustrating to go through life like that.

He's probably trying to stay out of the mud on this one. Apparently there's not an inch left clean, so there's no need to apply any additional filth.

I don't think Rush will address it because he does not want to talk about his addiction. It does not fit his agenda for ratings nor his hambone act of "Conservatism". Wanda Sykes was able to "out shock jock" the shock jock.

I am not sure who I want better to represent the GOP. Dick Cheney or Rush Limbaugh. I think Limbaugh may have lower approval but they are probably neck and neck. At least Limbaugh does his act for massive amounts of money. The day the GOP understands that they should just use the uneducated wing of the party that Limbaugh/Hannity/Coulter/Fox News represents only for their votes and not to lead the party is the day that the GOP returns to power.

Because the Republican party failed at re-branding itself, so the RNC is voting to re-brand the Democratic Party to the Democratic Socialist Party. This is getting almost comical.

Brand Dems socialists says RNC bloc

True. I only hope the party that takes over the Republicans on the national stage is closer to the libertarian political thought.

On the topic of the "Democratic socialist party", it already exists..

Democratic Socialists of America

And consider themselves the "left half" of the democratic party apparently. I don't know how that will or won't play into things. Of course the Republicans wanting to cast a new negative public name on the Democrats reflects some on the Democrats wanting people to refer to the Republicans as the "Party of No".

Crist is actually quite hated here in Florida. He hasn't done anything close to what he talked about while campaigning. Property taxes are still high, education is in the toilet, etc, etc.

Then, he uses the last 2 years of his governorship to run for a different office, instead of doing the job that he was elected to do.

Plus, he's gay with quite an obvious beard. He knows he isn't going to win reelection so he is changing jobs so he only has to hoodwink part of the state, instead of the whole thing.

Only the Republican Wingnuts are against Crist. Across the board 18% of the country are Right Wing nuts. His disapproval is 25% from Republicans and 20% from Democrats. It does not get much better than this so using Republican logic it is time to kick him out of the party. This guy has higher approval than Obama.

Do you Republicans start to see a pattern here?

He draws roughly the same positive ratings from Democrats and Independents: 66 percent of Democrats and 68 percent of Independents approve of the job Crist is doing during his time in office.

"There may be some GOP activists who think Gov. Charlie Crist isn't conservative enough, but they aren't striking a chord around the state," said Peter Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.

Opinion polls say you are wrong.

Poll: Crist dwarfs other Republican hopefuls - WDBO Local News on wdbo.com

The poll also found 64% of all Florida voters view him favorably.

You're saying the poll is cooked then? Proof?

I trust Quinnipiac unless, of course, you have some evidence to the contrary that suggests Charlie Crist is unpopular in Florida.

If Wiki has anything to say, Meghan McCain:

Quote:
Political positions

In general, she says that "I am a woman who despises labels and boxes and stereotypes."[9] McCain has also described herself as a Republican who is "liberal on social issues".[4][8] She registered as an Independent when she was 18[1] and she voted for John Kerry during the 2004 presidential election.[8] She agrees with her father's positions on global warming and stem-cell research, and she now agrees with her father's stance on the 2003 invasion of Iraq.[4] She also supports gay marriage and has stated she is pro-life.[9]

She has commented that the cause of the gay community for equality is "one of the ones closest to my heart". As such, she spoke at the Log Cabin Republicans convention in April 2009.[9] There she encapsulated her cultural and political perspectives with the declaration: "I am concerned about the environment. I love to wear black. I think government is best when it stays out of people's lives and business as much as possible. I love punk rock. I believe in a strong national defense. I have a tattoo. I believe government should always be efficient and accountable. I have lots of gay friends. And yes, I am a Republican."[10]

In terms of economic policy, she has remarked on Rachel Maddow's MSNBC show that "I didn’t even take econ in college. I don’t completely understand it so I’d hate to make a comment one way or the other. That’s – truly of all the things – I keep reading and I just don’t understand it."[11]
Sounds more like a moderate Democrat or a Blue Dog Dem than anything Republican in today's sense of the word.

I posted this earlier. These guys have listened to so much talk radio they think this will actually work. This gesture will show the country and the world how far the Republican party has sunk. This is the most ridiculous thing ever done by a major political party. I actually think they do not ever want to win again at this point. I think they enjoy being on the sidelines hoping for another terrorist attack or the economy to tank.

Once this is adopted the Republican party can not sink any lower. That will be the absolute bottom.

Don't say that... in a month or two, I am sure they would think of something that is worse.
