Dude, if there happens to be a Hell, and I go there, I will be the mother fucking king of that place. Satan will bow down and worship me.

Is it just me or does it seem like the person who almost without a doubt watched zeitgeist (Lumie) and believes every little conspiracy in it, believes in the bible? Did you fast forward that part of the movie Lumie?

David Attenborough - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quote:
In a December 2005 interview with Simon Mayo on BBC Radio Five Live, Attenborough stated that he considers himself an agnostic.[27] When asked whether his observation of the natural world has given him faith in a creator, he generally responds with some version of this story:

My response is that when Creationists talk about God creating every individual species as a separate act, they always instance hummingbirds, or orchids, sunflowers and beautiful things. But I tend to think instead of a parasitic worm that is boring through the eye of a boy sitting on the bank of a river in West Africa, [a worm] that's going to make him blind. And [I ask them], 'Are you telling me that the God you believe in, who you also say is an all-merciful God, who cares for each one of us individually, are you saying that God created this worm that can live in no other way than in an innocent child's eyeball? Because that doesn't seem to me to coincide with a God who's full of mercy'.[28]

Nope, I've watched it a few times actually but like I said, I've got a unique ability to see the truth and while all the other parts of Zeitgeist are correct, the video is actually a straw man. What's a straw man you ask?

Quote:
1. Person A has position X.

2. Person B ignores X and instead presents position Y.
Y is a distorted version of X and can be set up in several ways, including:

Presenting a misrepresentation of the opponent's position and then refuting it, thus giving the appearance that the opponent's actual position has been refuted.[1]
Quoting an opponent's words out of context — i.e., choosing quotations that are not representative of the opponent's actual intentions (see contextomy and quote mining).[2]
Presenting someone who defends a position poorly as the defender and then refuting that person's arguments, thus giving the appearance that every upholder of that position, and thus the position itself, has been defeated.[1]
Inventing a fictitious persona with actions or beliefs that are criticized, such that the person represents a group of whom the speaker is critical.
Oversimplifying an opponent's argument, then attacking the simplified version.
3. Person B attacks position Y.

4. Person B draws a conclusion that X is false/incorrect/flawed.
This sort of "reasoning" is fallacious because attacking a distorted version of a position simply does not constitute an attack on the position itself.
In other words, he is taking religion and doing the above to it and then presents legitimate things such as the Federal Reserve conspiracy and 9/11 and expects you to agree with his view point(lies) on religion based on based on the fact that he is telling the truth about other areas of interest.

Unlike you and most other people, I simply don't just accept another persons word for things and actually look into them myself. I know reading and researching takes lots of work and all and I know how lazy most people are so odds are people are for the most part, completely buried up to their neck in lies and bullshit because they can't be bothered to get the shovel.

Who said that? In what context? Are you sure "the unbelieving" refers specifically to belief in the divinity of Jesus? Wasn't Jesus supposed to provide respite for those who are described here, anyway? So shouldn't that passage just read "The unbelieving--their place will be in the fiery lake of blah blah blah"?

Second challenge: find me a passage that contradicts that one. (I know you won't take this one up)

If he said "rare ability to see the truth" it would be a power. Since he said "unique", which means he's the only one, I'd describe it as "insanity".

might wanna check your Dictionary.com since unique doesn't just mean that I'm the only one with said ability

Quote:
u·nique /yuˈnik/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[yoo-neek] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–adjective 1. existing as the only one or as the sole example; single; solitary in type or characteristics: a unique copy of an ancient manuscript.
2. having no like or equal; unparalleled; incomparable: Bach was unique in his handling of counterpoint.
3. limited in occurrence to a given class, situation, or area: a species unique to Australia.
4. limited to a single outcome or result; without alternative possibilities: Certain types of problems have unique solutions.
5. not typical; unusual: She has a very unique smile.
Also, you have to consider the fact that I said the ability is unique, not me.

I was using definition 1, which is usually the most commonly used definition. In fact, the other definitions are there due to rampant and accepted misuse of the word...just as you do here. Etymology of the word will show you that it derives directly from "one". Singular. Not uncommon. Alone. Only. Unique.

But you can misuse it if you want. If you meant "uncommon" you should have said so.

BTW...my defining your uncommon ability as insanity isn't derived from your use of the word unique, but rather from my knowledge of you gleened from this message board. Reading comprehension includes understanding context.

Whoever put "very unique" as a definition on Dictionary.com needs to be beaten to death using every English book one can find. There are no varying levels of unique. Something is either unique, or it is not unique. Or it is Unique-Equipped, but that's only for faggy rings.

Needs more Intensive Porpoises.
