If this Newsweek article has any merit to it, it was Palin who went off the reservation first with attack issues. It was still a ludicrous point to make anyways, since I'd hardly call the Obama's campaign stirringly negative.

Who picks the campaign managers? I only ask this because what the McCain campaign is doing(not John himself, but his campaign organizers) to Palin right now is disgusting. Was she the best VP candidate? No. Did she make mistakes? Yes. But holy shit, they are just publicly destroying her right now and its ridiculous. They pretty much blamed her for losing. Said she was too hard to deal with, was a bitch.. Disrespected everyone.... spent TONS of campaign money on cloths... Pretty much a maverick(lawl).

She might have gone off with attack issues first...but his campaign supported it. We all saw the Rev Wright and Ayers attack ads.

McCain defending the robocalls to that effect. No, his name is down in the dirt just as much as hers is.


And I'm happy to see her thrown under the bus. It's like seeing a criminal being run over. Sure, it's not justice, but sometimes, it's good enough. Anyone saying the war is "God's War" and shit like that deserves everything she's getting.

How Sean Hannity Lost The Election for the GOP

You can see it all in retrospect. Sean Hannity and his cohorts at FOX saturated the world with Wright and drove the Wright Issue into the ground. And now the desperate Rev. Wright swiftboating that saturated the media yesterday sinks like a stone. We tune it out like ads we know backwards and forwards. They have no traction. It is old stuff.

The first thing Sean did was an atrocious job of reporting. A good reporter does not edit tape with the malicious obviousness that Sean displayed. It became clear that Wright had been viciously reduced to a stupid soundbite or two, entirely out of context. Decent Republicans joined everyone else in holding their noses.

Sean Hannity destroyed the proper use of Rev. Wright. He made it so redundant that it became totally ineffective.

I think some of you are getting a bit ahead of yourselves. This is not the dawn of a new Democratic era in America. The Republicans fucked up and the Dems got rewarded. Period. Chances are the Dems will fuck up and the power will switch back, maybe as soon as 2010. Under the worst possible conditions for one party in the last fifty years, against a 70 year old who wasn't even liked by half his own party and ran a terrible campaign, who also selected a terrible VP who wasn't ready for the job or for prime time, with the Democrats being led by their single most exciting candidate in the last forty years, it was only a six point margin.

Think about that. In what was supposed to be a transcendent election with record breaking turnout all that really happened was that Republicans(like myself) were pissed off at their candidates and stayed home. Read this article:
