I think you're naive to think Hillary's negatives are as big as Palin's or even compare to Palin's. Hillary has a clue about things while Palin clearly doesn't. Their negatives are on opposite parts of the spectrum.

Her negative numbers, in polling taken place during the primaries, was on par with Palin's negative poll numbers.ranging between 46% and 55% negative. I'm not talking about their intelligence.

I'm not defending IRB's position, but you're comparing apples to oranges.

Hillary vs Obama was a fairly unique situation that left democrats with (temporarily) negative views of Hillary. At the same time, there aren't many republicans alive that don't hate the Clintons. Those factors together created a large unfavorable rating for her. Those same democrats that disliked her in the primaries though would almost certainly have had a favorable view of her if she was against McCain (especially after Palin showed up).

I agree, but I also think that her presence on the ticket would have been even more polarizing than Obama was. It's all theorycraft, I'm just saying, that 400 electoral vote number is bullshit.

Soooooooooo...... how about that bailout huh? CNN all day has been shitting on the bailout. Good times.

What bailout? Have you been bailed out? Everything I hear and read about the bailout is they don't know who, what, or how to throw money around in a way that actually helps the economy...

Seriously can Bush give an executive order and swear Obama in tomorrow? So we can have a leader that attempts to lead? Wait, that would require Bush reaching into his pocket and pulling out a Fuck. God damnit.

They never had a plan, and their plan now is to just "wing it" I guess. It's infuriating, especially with all the people who were panicing at the time. I would call it a media induced panic, but the media was collectively screaming NOT to do the bailout "plan", so I have no idea what was driving people's panic. But here we are, things getting worse, no leadership from Washington, and we're out 700 billion - 1.5 trillion to boot. Hope my kids didn't want college or health care!

It's a completely hypothetical argument and not even a valid one, since if Hillary was against McCain then Palin would not be in the picture.

Tim Pawlenty gets it. If the GOP listens to him they will come back with a vengence. Talk radio is bashing Pawlenty and taking up for Palin. Hopefully, they will blow Pawlenty off as the Dittoheads take over.

Quote:
MIAMI -- Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R) laid out his vision for the Republican Party and how it can move forward. It needs to get younger, more diverse and build a broader coalition.

Pawlenty said the party's values and principles are "time tested." "We can build on them. We can be both conservative and modern at the same time."

Pawlenty went on to emphasize fiscal policy (particularly on reducing debt), health care, education, and energy.

On the latter, he delivered a line that might sound like an opening 2012 shot at Palin. "'Drill baby, drill' by itself is not an energy policy," he said. "It's not enough. We're going to need wind and solar and bio mass."
Pawlenty is a very smart politician. However, the Palin thugs will discount him. The video below was said during the campaign and was clearly an endorsement of Obama and a shot at McCain.

Sorry to let you know, but people as dumb as you have already tried this line of attack with me, and they were as miserably wrong as you. FOX news is just as noteworthy and accurate as any news you watch or read. And I read more than FOX news.

I was pretending to be one of the asshats here who say everything Fox does is irrelevant and cannot be trusted. I'm one of the relatively conservatively minded people here trying to give a perspective that is pretty unpopular here. By taking issue with something such as Osama claiming responsibility for 9/11 I was hoping to prove the point that people's knee jerk hatred of Fox and therefore any viewpoint different from their own is completely asinine. Instead I proved a different point entirely.

That you am stoopid.

Unless you just reverse trolled me. In which case....well played sir.

Here's an interesting factoid you probably didn't know about our tech-savvy president-elect: He's a Mac user, according to Telegraph, who compiled a list of 50 facts you might not know about Barack Obama.

And knowing that Obama's a Mac user, it's highly likely that his chat client of choice is iChat. Michelle Obama told People magazine that the one gadget her husband would never leave at home is a webcam, which he uses to stay in touch with her and the kids whenever he's traveling. iChat's the best Mac app for video chatting, and it's the easiest to use, too.

He's not an iPhone user, though. "He says his worst habit is constantly checking his BlackBerry," Telegraph writes. That's kind of a relief, because in terms of security, the iPhone has as many holes as a worn-out pair of Vans slip-ons.

Yes, he's also denied it. Excuse me for not taking a terrorist at face value on some video which would be quite easy to fake, or just to use an old one. I don't trust any of the Bin Laden videos to be evidence of anything. There is not a single piece of solid evidence to link Bin Laden to 9/11. The FBI even admits this and he is not charged with the crime on his most wanted poster.

552 point rally, wonder if that'll shut Rush up about the "Obama recession".

Ah heck, who am I kidding?
