Granted, thats very true. But unless she identified him, what other evidence would there be 30 years ago? Just seems fishy.

You are right though.

I am still of the opinion that Life in prison is the harsher penalty vs. the death sentence in many cases, so counter that arguement.

Or we could just admit that a person like this is so completely outside of society's definition of morality that they need to be eliminated to prevent the possibility of similar offenses in the future. You can argue that she only did it because her husband told her to, but honestly a person who will do something that heinous at the request of another person is a danger to society because they apparently cannot or will not determine the consequences of their actions the for themselves. The death penalty saves the cost of keeping her incarcerated for the next 30+ years.

Then again, the counter-argument is that with all of the legal expenses that the appeals process incurs, it is just cheaper in the long run to incarcerate them. Broken system wins again it seems. I wonder if she'll get cable.

How about you people stop giving 12 retarded average trash humans the power to decide over other peoples lifes? That would be a start. /tease

That's the beauty of the whole system. DA's and prosecutors do everything in their power during jury selection to make sure they get the 12 dumbest people they possibly can, because then it's just that much easier to get a conviction.

I'm pretty sure I disagree with you on that one. I'm pretty sure murder is worse than child molestation. You can get psychiatric therapy and counciling to ease the trauma of molestation as a child, and you can live a normal life if you get it. Child abuse is hurtful and disgusting and deserving of severe punishment, but it's not terminal, the kid has a chance to grow up and contribute to society. Murdered people on the other hand have no options for therapy since they're fucking dead and they stay that way, somebody's father/mother/son/daughter/sibling is gone forever and all their future contributions however small are gone too.

She did identify him, she said it was a black man with short hair between 5'5 and 6'2 they got a line up she was "sure" it was number 3. Jury believed her because who can forget the face that raped her.

You can see buy I am making the jerking off motion right now.
