| Middle mouse scroll isn't for navigation it's for reading large volumes of text without having to keep fussing with the mouse/keyboard. It gives you a high degree of freedom in how fast it scrolls for a reason. Great when reading long documentation like manuals, ebooks, wikipedia entries or if you are trying to play something off the computer on guitar. The computer chair in my office is essentially a lazyboy and being able to recline back into it, ctrl-scroll the font bigger and middle mouse auto-scroll when I have some 30+ page wall of text to read is a beautiful thing. Anyways, Google Chrome is alright in its current form. I wanted to love it but after a week I went back to firefox. Animated gifs were choppy, the download manager is ABHORRENT, streaming video from some sources was giving me trouble, ect. Only things I felt I was gaining which I'd actually use on a daily basis from Chrome in its current state was a half second faster load times and plug-in crash recovery. Load times is meh and with Firefox alt-f4 followed by"restore session" works fine for me.

+50 Internets | I thought that's what the scroll wheel is for...scrolling pages of shit past quickly. I've never used it for anything else, save for maybe hotkeying vent or teamspeak talk button to it when I press it.

| Nah, like everyone else said why would you use it to quickly scroll when you have the sidebar, page down and the scroll wheel. It's for clicking and moving the arrow a centimeter or so below the circle so it auto scrolls at a speed slow enough to read without having to use your hands. Personally I love the feature.

In any case, I doubt it was a conscious design decision, maybe Google just thought the same way I did about whether it's something people would do. | |

| Pretty sure Google didn't just forget it or decide it wasn't worth using. This is the first beta release. It's coming. And if it doesn't then fuck Google.

+109 Internets | I like Chrome in theory and it does render pages very fast, but I feel like I'm browsing the web with the Vanguard client when I use it. It just sorta smokes crack.

| A Bearded Gnome | https://chrome.google.com/extensions/ Extensions site went live today, no Adblock Plus yet but I'm sure it's in the pipe. Soon as it does I'm prolly going to switch to Chrome from Firefox.
