| I wouldn't let it get to you Khorum. There are people out there who are so emotionally attached to politics that whenever something they think even smells different than them, they attack. Using sing song statements or emotional drivel is the quickest way for me to think someone is an idiot. Even a fucktard rapper can spout rhymes that go together. |

I like George W. Bush. Maybe not so much as a President, but because he never backs down. George W. Bush is the cowboy riding the atomic bomb down to the city. He may not be very eloquent, or whatever other criticisms there are, but he sticks by his decisions and has a sort of aggression I can respect. When John Kerry was running against Bush, Kerry just seemed like a whiny, no balls, wears ear protection when cutting the lawn kind of man. Many people will say, It's not about them PERSONALLY, it's about their politics. Politics is image, however, and if you don't fundamentally like a person, how can you get behind them? We had JFK and Camelot, Teddy Roosevelt with his cowboy image, so why not a nice romantic story about a black guy going against all odds to be president? People love that. The truth is, most democrats today come across as weak, and inefficient. Ted Kennedy, Biden, and Bill Clinton seem like the only respectable Democrats these days. Yeah yeah, blowjobs and whatever, but do you look at Clinton and say, "I don't like this man,?" Sorry, but these Democrats of today seem like such fags. Kennedy may have been a pretty boy, but he had big balls(Cuban missle crisis).

Yes, GW Bush is great because he always stick by his decisions. Regardless of how stupid they may be. That is definitely something to be respected.

I said "DON'T Believe it." And I meant it. DON'T believe the hype, just look at the immutable testimony of history. If you had been serious about being "non-partisan" just take a look at her record. I showed you Anchorage news links, some of which were negative towards Governor Palin and showed EXACTLY how she had more experience confronting, challenging and changing the Energy Industry of Alaska and thus the country. Furthermore you asked the readers to "put aside partisanship" for a second and asked someone to explain how Palin's term as the chief executive of the most energy-rich state in the union could somehow translate to sincere and practical executive leadership. I explained the facts as I remember them during my conversation with coworkers in Bechtel's petrostrategy group (I'll be honest, the only reason I remember all that stuff was because the governor looked at home on a Maxim cover) and you then dropped that "non-partisan" veneer with THIS gem: Quote:
You don't have citations on her FORCING creationist policies on the state. No more than you have citations of her forcing her pro-life beliefs on state law any more than any OTHER governor has ever forced their pro-life convictions. You're gonna spew venom about fiscal conservatism whilst I CITED how one of the very first---THE VERY FIRST---things Sarah Palin did as an elected official was cut her salary and reduce property taxes by 40%. You don't have citations that she ever ordered the bombing of anyone and you don't have ANY citations of Sarah Palin "stomping on the downtrodden". In fact Sarah Palin has made consistently un-Republican social decisions like Fighting to keep a state-owned dairy (which employed thousands) from being closed and sold. You don't have those citations because those citations don't exist. Instead, you just exposed your REAL "non-partisan" agenda and treated everyone here to that frothing apoplectic fit we've ALL been privileged to witness whenever a fanatic is compelled into confronting the truth. And now you think maybe your "non-partisan" options have been exhausted and you think you're gonna have better traction turning this into a flame war. Now you realized that you've just been aping the same unsubstantiated moveon.org action bulletins that had no factual basis whatsoever you're gonna try your hand and being an internet hero and swing your epeen around like a badass. While I might get banned again for showing you exactly how wrong you are in that line of thinking, let me assure you, that's not a tree you want to bark up either. | I think most would agree that John Kerry was not the finest Democratic candidate, but you are the type of person that buys completely into the retarded bullshit that the Republicans pulled that year. It's because of people like you that we got a goddamn repeat of GWB. You don't base your vote on facts or even ideologies, you base it on the "persona" of the man. Karl Rove was born to brainwash faggots like you.

Just out of idle curiousity, was this aimed at me? I think I'm the only ex-Alaskan in the thread. If so, I'm confused, because I'm certainly not a neocon.

| Anyone notice its always the republicans that spew the bullshit, the republicans that steal elections, and the republicans that always use underhanded tactics? It never seems to be the democrats. Really astounding how so many people on this board can go on and on about how every single thing the republicans do is either wrong, incorrect, or if it IS something good, its done for the wrong reasons and thus invalid. These same people rarely (if ever) will ever say one bad word about people in their own party. The fact that people will so blindly follow behind a political party to such extreme is dangerous, no matter which political party you get behind. |

I wouldn't trust anyone whose direction on energy policy was built around feeding multi-thousand dollar paychecks to the constituents every year for support.

| Fuck the bullshit. The face of american politics has changed in the last 8 years. The entire world is watching. The entire world is disgusted with the REPUBLICAN PARTY. The republican party has been hijacked. The Goldwater conservative base is gone. No more fiscal conservatism...no more government accountability. The republican party was reputable when it had solid values. What happened? Those days are over. It is now the party of the neo-cons - misguided agendas about global domination and extreme religious right social values. You want to vote for McCain. Go ahead. Before you do, ask yourself what the headline will be in newspapers across the PLANET if McCain gets elected? What are the implications? |

| I feel that if women want to be treated as equals (even though they aren't, they are women) then being annihilated by Biden shouldn't lose voters for democrats. There is no crying in political debates, I say Biden should fuck her couch up and see what happens. I wouldn't be too sure that there will be repercussions for exposing a shitty candidate. But then again, I'm no political analyst. |

Anyway, I agree that GOP as we have known it is dying and the demographics are working against them in the newer generation. They will probably go the way of the Federalists and the Dem party will be the only party left for a short while before it splits itself into two parties and the whole political dialogue over the next few decades shifts further and further to the left.
