Did the executives at some companies donate $20k each to the DNC, or are we talking about a couple hundred bucks from a lot of low level employees? Comparison vs McCain can't be done, because now that he gets public financing he can no longer accept donations - of course his numbers are going to be lower. (He also got less before that though. How does the contribution work out as a percentage of total money raised?) Though I'd also be interested in what "questionable companies" are?

CNN talking about the focus group they're polling for the debate. Republicans, Democrats and Independents - all undecideds.

97% said country goes in the wrong direction, nobody said Iraq was their top issue. It's all about the economy for that group. The economy may take over this foreign policy debate, which can only hurt McCain. I just hope they don't decide to make the last debate about foreign policy instead.

Man I don't think I've seen McCain nervous like this. They both are, but I'm more surprised how much his voice is breaking.

EDIT: I guess I remember that being talked about before his convention speech. He really prefers smaller crowds.
