McCain was dedicated to the economy this morning. Good thing he's in DC to put in some work - where would we be if he hadn't suspended his campaign?

McCain Spends 90 Minutes on the Hill | The Trail | washingtonpost.com
Quote:
Sen. John McCain spent about 90 minutes on Capitol Hill this morning, stopping in his office and shuttling among the offices of Republicans, and seeking a deal on an economic rescue plan that would let him depart Washington for tonight's debate with Sen. Barack Obama.

Aides said he left his Crystal City condominium and arrived at the Senate at 9 a.m. His motorcade left to return to his Arlington headquarters at 10:30 a.m. In between, he spent about 15 minutes at Sen. Mitch McConnell's office and then moved to Rep. John Boehner's office.

I'm waiting for someone to put McCain or Palin into a video of that South Park song "What would Brian Boitano do?"

I'm sorry, but how the hell did people think Palin was capable? I knew the way she conducted business through her RNC speech, and I didn't like it at all.

I've said it all along: you can say a lot about someone's character from the way they speak.

So... you got nothing to actually support Palin being a capable qualified experienced politician able to shoulder the burden of serving a part in the highest executive administration.

Plus, you couldn't even muster a decent argument against Obama or Biden. I'll admit I chuckled at that last one, but if all you got is verbal pauses and questioning at what point television was invented during a 4 term President's era... you're going down harder than the Titanic.

About 20% of the country is the fundamentalist Christian base, these are the people that LOVE Palin because she's one of them. Replace her with a going-to-hell-devil-worshiping-Mormon and McCain would drop 10 points. If he was really going to replace her I'd go with Huckabee, he's Palin with smaller tits and can actually gab with the media like a pro. Edit: Of course Huckabee just called McCain out about the debate bullshit so he's screwed.

Obama's uh's are annoying I agree but what point are you trying to prove by reiterating that?

Before McCain choose Palin I believed he would win in the end, but choosing Palin as VP makes no sense even if Palin wasn't completely out of her league, you fight for nomination by pleasing the radical wing of your party and win an election by appealing to the center and McCain has done ... the exact opposite. No need to be Machiaveli or Sun Tzu to realise that this strategy is... stupid, there's no other word. Now if you add the fact that Palin is not only a christian fundamentalist but also a joke, how can the independants not be scared ?

Id rather vote for someone with an odd VP choice than a person who is known to associate with terrorists and accepts millions of dollars in contributions from questionable companies.

Look at the calibre of people who are cheerleading for her.

So you didn't vote for Bush or Reagan? What does that have to do with this conversation exactly?
