I do not support auto makers getting a bailout. After YEARS of watching honda and Toyota produce better quality cars at cheaper prices they continue to come out with over priced expensive low quality shit. Then finally when the economy is hurting to bad they release the chevy volt 5 years to late 20,000$ overpriced and lower quality then either honda or Toyota.

Next year a 19,000$ honda insight is coming out.... Seriously if American auto makers can't maker cheaper AND better cars then gtfo out of the market. Don't sell me half assed shit and tell me to suck it up for American fucking pride.

Oh and the Palin interview is just scary. Solving or economic problems takes more then a hockey mom with a "unique perspective" whatever the fuck that means. Common sense is NOT what we need to deal with national issues.

I think it is pretty obvious most Republicans have jumped shipped on McCain. In the polls it's not quite as apparent, because most Republicans abhor the Democratic viewpoints and Obama and that includes me. The fact that that conman is being handed the election sickens me and makes me so angry at my party.

But maybe this will finally be the death knell. He chose Palin only to shore up the social conservatives, awful choice and she clearly is not ready. I can't even watch an interview without being ashamed. And it goes to the very heart of the issue, if the party was still about fiscal conservatism or a hand's off foreign policy instead of these social issues that should not be the domain of government he might have really made a gamble and picked someone like Romney for VP, and then surprise surprise he would have had a nice trump card and source of advice for the economic crisis. Not that Romney would solve it one fell swoop but he's sharp on this shit, Romney is comfortable talking about the exact things that right now everyone wants to listen too. But he isn't religious enough... what a joke.


As for republicans in this thread, its fun at times but the supposedly major campaign issues were never really brought up anyway. I tried to troll people to get them involved and had some fun. But who really wants to sit around and play mock-political analyst on a messageboard? I'd rather bitch about issues that I may not fully understand or effect but are at least salient problems. Otherwise its nice to be able to glean some of peoples' philosophies. Personally I just don't understand enough about the financial system to even argue what's going on however. I also think that it makes the election moot, let Obama get in and raise taxes and use the revenue to pay down our debt and strengthen the dollar (hopefully). With what's happening now I do not see much else happening in the next few years other then pulling out of Iraq to save money, there's just no resources available for anyone in government to play with. Maybe it's the perfect backdrop for Obama so that he will be limited in what he can do.

That's not what I said at all. Its not ok to hate in any sense, but to make a bigger deal about one specific hate and let others slide by is repulsive.
