| Arguementative | Palin Conquers the Internet They fail to mention the majority of searches of undoubtly 'palin nude'. Just a general question, who here thinks that an economic recession would actually help Republicans? I mean, I'm sure there are a lot of Republicans, independents, and voters in general that would look at the track record of Democrat presidents in the 60's-70's and kinda stick with that. Most Republicans are probably more concerned with foreign issues rather than domestic because it doesn't affect them as much. No one is going to look at Hoover, but I think you can see a lot of similarities between them except with instead of domestic spending, McCain would have us spending money on foreign 'defense' (Iran, covert Pakistan missions). | Depends how well the McCain's campaign's pathetic attempt to blame the whole economy problem not on the 7 years of Republican presidency, or 5-ish years of Republican House and Senate control, but on the year and a half of Democratic control Quote:

| Ok, it's the Democrats fault because they couldn't pass legislation. His words. So, the legislation that Bush vetoed, or the legislation that the Republicans were able to block, would have prevented this? |

| Yep. Matthews has been calling bullshit on these guys for a few days now. The Democratic guy doesn't need to say anything because the McCain people are so full of crazy bullshit at the moment. edit: Think it was yesterday he got the McCain chick not admitting to voting for Bush. | Lmao, that Cantor guy is a smarmy douchebag. Here he is caught in a lie last week on MSNBC: You'd think the Republicans could send some smarter people out there to represent their party. These guys are like automatic gaffe machines.

+29 Internets | Jesus, is Chris Mathews always like that? That was difficult to watch, 5 minutes of him screaming at some douchebag. At least the Dem in that video ahd the balls to stand behind his party's record in Congress. |

+29 Internets | Could McCain's Crusade Against Pork Backfire? - TIME This article is interesting to me, mostly because I had always wondered what exactly it is about "pork" that people have such an enormous problem with. And don't give me the whole Constitutional bit, not after the PATRIOT act and FISA and shit like that. I agree with Ron Paul's viewpoint on the subject of earmarks, that the government is taking taxes and paying out this money and you do your constituents a disservice by not getting this money for necessities. The article points out a few things paid for by earmarks, I don't know, maybe I'm just crazy but with what we are paying to the federal government in taxes I don't think 18 billion in public works projects is an issue, and certainly not something that should be the central issue of someone's campaign. |
