And Vietnam? Vietnam was mess for BOTH Republicans and Democrats. We left because we lost. The South Vietnamese didnt want to fight any more, and the people supported Ho Chi Minh more than they supported the corrupt Government, that was ONLY in power because we were propping it up.

Nixon did good with the Chinese, even it was for his legacy, and Reagan did some good work managing the fall of the Soviet Union.

Partisan spin aside. There is no way any thinking person could watch this Palin interview and believe she is in any way qualified to be VP or President. People aren't perfect. You can't expect Obama to make perfect speeches every freaking day. Everyone has good and bad days. Obama isn't a God.

He doesn't have to be mean, dismissive, or sexist toward Palin to dominate her. He just has to answer the questions in a straight forward manner and draw on his YEARS of domestic and foreign policy experience. It will be easy for him whereas if this interview of Plain is any indication of her intelligence, she will be quickly overwhelmed. You can only bullshit, stammer, and deflect your way through questions for so long... and up against someone with actual experience, the contrast will be quite stark as to who the better VP will be.

We were hours away from all out fucking nuclear war. The Cuban missle crisis showed that you don't need to be a general in the army to handle a national Crisis.

What Kennedy Khruschev accomplished was historic, they were able to appease the hard line political and military elements in both countries and at the same time averting all out Nuclear war.
