I've already mentioned (in one of the older threads) that I would reactivate my commission when we invade Iran, but sure I'll extend that to Russia too. I would. I plan on entering the military as an officer when I finish my degree.

But more to the point, here, she didn't say she would go to war with Russia. Read the fucking context.

If Ukraine/Georgia were part of NATO, then we would be obligated to help them if they were invaded. The whole point of letting them into NATO is to protect them and deter Russia.

Wanna know how "wrongly accused" they were when the folks that actually HAVE BEEN released from gitmo have proven to be such stellar, honest and tolerant members of the world community?

I'm not sure if you're just aping that "wrongfully-accused" bullshit because of a misunderstanding or if you figured a little hyperbole wouldn't hurt, but while I DON'T advocate torture and while I DO support conformance to the Geneva Convention (which permits MUCH MUCH stronger penalties for unlawful combatants), the gitmo prisoners aren't pulled off the streets for being "wrongfully accused". Those end up in Abu Ghraib and other places, Gitmo is for something else entirely.

I don't think she really knows what the Bush Doctrine is. Gibson had to ask her the question in various ways before he got a response and then she reached for one of her stock answers that seemed to fit best. She repeats words and phrases a bit much, indicating lots of coaching.

You can bet she will know it the next time she's asked, though.

They can still be wrongfully accused and sent to gitmo. In fact the only requirement for being sent to Gitmo is they are suspected of Terrorist sympathy or aid. Correct me if i am wrong. They don't have a trial and then get sent to Gitmo.

If there is no trial there is a chance they are not guilty of what they are being accused of.
