But it's all so relevant! All our future Presidents should be decided in a joint session between Us Weekly and OK Magazine.

Wow. There was a pleasant interview going on between Colmes and the other dude, then Hannity snapped. From what I've seen tonight, Sean Hannity and Chuck Norris must be drinking the same kool-aid.

Ah, just found the video of it. Kinda sad, Chuck Norris used to be cool.

Oh, and this was right after Chuck said he was independent and was thinking about voting 3rd party.

LOL what do you wanna hear about dumbass?

The Economy? Education? Iraq? What POSSIBLE ISSUE do you think Obama could feasibly walk away from without being mutilated with his own ideological positions?

We're you planning on voting on Chuck Norris or something?

That Kwame Kilpatrick one is terrible. Obama needs to stop calling everyone his friend.

As Governor, she gave the Legislature no direction and budget guidelines, then made a big grandstand display of line-item vetoing projects, calling them pork. Public outcry and further legislative action restored most of these projects--which had been vetoed simply because she was not aware of their importance--but with the unobservant she had gained a reputation as "anti-pork".

Here's a real question. If Sarah Palin had been in the national news, would this be an issue? I don't think it is her lack of experience, I think it is her Q rating that is driving people batshit. How many other first term governors have ran for president? She's not even running at the top of the ticket, but as VP.

I don't even like the selection but if Obama can start running for the white house two years into his senate term what the fuck makes her so much less qualified if she's spent two years being a governor, especially when she's running for a lower office?

Part of her charm is the fact that she HASN'T been running for president for the last decade.

You should vote according to your conditions, but you should look past the shallow hyperbole everyone slings before making your determination.

One of the disappointments about Palin is that she's not terribly fiscally conservative. That's fine.

But the ultra-conservative bullshit stuff has been debunked. The Annenberg project's Factcheck.org tracks down a lot of the smears made against the candidates and Palin has NEVER banned any books (she spoke had a dispute with a librarian who was fired, rehired and not ONE book has ever been banned). She never "forced" creationism in schools, in fact the only time she had ever mentioned was in a debate and palin supported a libertarian position.

Palin's the daughter of public school teachers, one of whom was a science teacher, who laughed when asked if his daughter ever pushed creationism.

What's he doing on a political talk show anyway? He did Walker Texas Ranger like 20 years ago, next thing I know he's campaigning for Huckabee. How is he even relevant?

That's the opinion of a liberal activist who admits to have fought against Palin and LOST. You'll find much stronger opinions if you went to their prison, where Palin sent many of the corrupt Republican apparatus.

Palin has most certainly cut the state's budget by over 10%. But her record as a "fiscal conservative" is often flimsy. But she has also sustained some dubious things like almost tripling funding for certain underused education programs, some kind of teen planned parenthood thing and she even decided to sustain a failing state-owned dairy collective.

She signed a fucking WINDFALL TAX on oil company profits, a major objection for fiscal conservatives, and used the profits to issue "Energy Debit Cards" for Alaskans so they can help pay for heating costs.

Her father can keep laughing but it doesn't change her answer from her gubernatorial race:

Quote:
"Teach both. You know, don't be afraid of information. "Healthy debate is so important and it's so valuable in our schools. I am a proponent of teaching both. And you know, I say this too as the daughter of a science teacher. Growing up with being so privileged and blessed to be given a lot of information on, on both sides of the subject -- creationism and evolution. It's been a healthy foundation for me. But don't be afraid of information and let kids debate both sides."
Source: Anchorage Daily News (27 October 2006)

Standard teach the controversy answer only with Creationism instead of ID so it's even worse.

Why has she only fought against corrupt Republicans? There are corrupt Democrats for sure.

Why ignore his 8 years in the Illinois Senate? Clearly her state experience counts, why ignore his? One might also add that Obama has the educational resume to back up his candidacy - oh and he went through a long primary, beating the Clinton political machine.

I know, caring about education is a liberal thing... but isn't it refreshing to have a candidate who cites earthly studies for his plan, instead of getting it straight from god?
