+29 Internets | Gallup poll is fucking worthless. They seriously had a 14 point flip the other day. I am still waiting to see this "Chicago Machine" in action. McCain is going negative and staying as far away from any discussion of issues as he can get, and I understand that everyone has to play their schill card, but the truth is that the Obama campaign has not been negative. In fact they have been so pointedly not negative, to the point that some supporters of Obama are angry at the lack of negativity. People who like to shit talk Obama's past especially like to point at the "Chicago Machine" and dirty Chicago politics, so when are we going to see some real smearing or underhanded tricks? Now would be the time, one would think. |

+25 Internets | On top of that, these polls are meaningless considering how the president is elected. Some would even say that being behind on the popular vote is a good omen!

| I've said it before - it comes down to electoral votes and Obama's likeliest way of winning now is holding onto Kerry's states + Iowa + Colorado + New Mexico or Nevada and he wins. Fortunately for Obama, he stil holds those states + the win in Congress if it comes to 269-269. Unfortunately for him, momentum is on McCain's side right now, and Obama looks clueless as to how to counter. |

So what should the democrats do? Quite simply - call an idiot and idiot. Paleontologists should be in ad's discussing how dinosaurs roamed the earth millions of years ago and explain how insane Sarah Palain, a creationist, must be to not believe in them...or think they all fit in Noah's Ark. Maybe we should talk to some members of Alec Station, the group assigned the initial task of hunting down Osama Bin Laden and Ayman Al Zawihiri and ask them whether they think it was prudent that the Bush Administration shut them down because Bin Laden is not a high priority target any longer. That would be a good ad I think. Maybe just an ad showing Bin Laden laughing at Bush and his neo-con cabal as he plots another attack against the United States. I mean if there is one thing we know for sure it is that the republicans are the masters of national security. That is why we are embroiled in two wars costing 10 billion a month and Bin Laden and AZ have still not been killed 7 years after they attacked the city of New York and the Pentagon. That is why North Korea detonated a nuclear weapon on George W. Bush's watch as president. That is why Bush is fanning the flames of a new cold war with Russia. That is why Bush and McCain are threatening World War III with Iran. That is why the entire world is hoping that we are smart enough to rebound from this nightmare and vote for Obama. Maybe even a new version of this old ad with a caption like: Can we entrust our children's future to President Palin? Last edited by Badass; 09-10-2008 at 08:20 PM.. | |

| See this is why you guys are bad at attack ads.. you just dont understand that people dont want you to shit on their religion and most of them prolly dont really believe creationism they still dont wanna see that kinda ad and will be pissed if anyone aired that kind of thing. Airing an anti christian ad in a country that is 90 percent christian would lose you the election in the blink of an eye. |
