TWO DAYS? They've been running around in a panic for over a week. They got dick-punched by Palin's convention speech and then their subsequent non-stop hatchet-job has had the effect of shuffling a 14-point shift of the women's vote to McCain's camp... a trend that has never been observed in any previous "convention bump".

I certainly don't give a shit about the lipstick on a pig thing, and I don't really understand why anyone would dwell over it, but my wife is INFURIATED about it and she's a clinton democrat who's went over to Obama.

You have Obama feminists, from columnists to bloggers, who are even more indignant about it than McCain is---and that's new.

I will say this, the McCain Campaign(aka bush 2k/04 campaign) are fucking sharks and know how to do their fucking job. They have been able to steer the fucking discussion of this election from the issues, to Lipstick, sexism, and Palin media craze.

Anyone else getting sick and tired of the media talking about the same crap? All the talk is fucking Palin, and its nothing NEW because there are no interviews, and all they have to talk about is the repeated canned speeches from the trail....

The media is being played and they are just laying down and taking it up the ass. The nomination did exactly what it needed to do, it steered the entire discussion away from McCain vs Obama, and its now just Palin Palin Palin.

And yet Obama is willing to fight on that turf. That's a huge tactical error, and it's going to cost him the election. The best thing he could have done is ignore Palin.

Daily Gallup has McCain at 48, Obama at 43. Margin is +/- 2.

Don't quote that fucking Obama talking point. Sure, the McCain campaign jumped on it to try and make a point, but that is not the problem here. The problem is the media is letting the pig-stick controversy and Palin not letting them do a precious interview become the story, when it fucking isn't. We don't give a shit if Obama used what, in hindsight, probably wasn't a smart choice of words to make an alnalogy. We also aren't in such a fucking hurry to hear Palin give an interview that we can't see that SHE IS SENDING HER FUCKING SON OFF TO WAR. You get ONE chance to make a good first impression, and if she wants to wait til after she has gone through what will probably be the hardest day of her life to give her first interview she is fucking justified. Absolutely. Like others have said, the media has allowed itself to get so wrapped around this Palin thing that they have forgotten there is an election for President underway. The issues have entirely disappeared, and it is only Palin Palin Palin, all day every day. It makes me sick.

We shouldn't be demanding apologies, we should be turning the other cheek. It's ridiculous. Just ignore it, stick it in a few ads, and refute it in a capable way.. I, personally, have pretty much given up. I tried to watch MSNBC today during lunch and lasted about 5 minutes before my bullshit-o-meter exploded and I played tetris on my phone instead.

The closest thing we have to news at this point is the Daily Show, and that's fucking sad. Not that it's entirely the medias fault, this campaign is a giant floundering joke at this point, with or without the media.
