first off you posted the wrong link you silly cocksucker.

second, do you honestly believe anyone would try to ban those books?

obviously you do which proves you are one stupid little cunt. clearly some liberal pussy shmuck went out and wrote down a list of all the books he read during his schooling career and thought it would be cute to imply that Palin is some sort of nazi feminist freak. a wrinkle in time? judy blume books? give me a fucking break. think about that logically before you open your stupid fucking mouth again. you little liberal shits are so fucking dumb that you need somebody else to do your thinking for you. learn some common sense before you decide your qualified to choose our next president.

Looks like he pulled it out of the ALA challenged books list. There's always some douche who tries to get books off a library inventory. The religious ones are naueseating, but it's really the developmental/educational/psychologist ones that are REALLY obnoxious.

As far as Palin goes though, fact is there is no administrative record of a Palin attempt to remove the books, the "news reports" that AP (and Time) cited mentioned a "disagreement" between Palin and the city Librarian, which was later made out to be about Palin's "censorship" since the same news sources have been critical of the town's conservative mayor, and yet noone has been able to produce any testimony from the librarian.

Most importantly, there wasn't an attempt to remove the books AFTER the aggrieved librarian left office. There haven't been any other discussion of "book bannings" ever afterwards.

What we do have plenty of are angry people who fared poorly in their contests against Sarah Palin, and THOSE people range from that librarian to police chiefs to State Governors (remember she technically beat TWO Alaskan governors, one in the primary and the other during general elections) to sitting US senators. And some of them wouldn't mind a shot at the woman who unravelled their comfy government paycheck.

Apparently Hillary Clinton, who had been roused to campaign for the dems by Obama, couldn't be cajoled into making vigorous attack statements about McCain or Palin this weekend with anything more than uttering the rote "no way, no more, no McCain" slogan once.

Say what? So you dont believe in individual rights? No right to privacy? You dont think that the bill of rights should be interpreted to protect the people of the United States? It was an absolutely correct decision and the courts analysis of fundamental rights and their penumbra is spot on.

You motherfuckers would take us back to the dark ages. Unbelievable.

You realize why don't you? Please tell me you're not that stupid. The Republicans have stirred their party into a frenzy and made Palin out to be the sympathy vote. The media is picking on her OH NOES WHATEVER SHALL WE DO! It's an extremely lame tactic but it will protect her from ridicule for a bit until she starts talking to the press. It's just sad that the Republican party would stoop to such low levels to try and win an election. The ironic part is that for as much as the Republicans talk about sexism, they seem to have no problem using it to their advantage. Do you think any male candidate would be able to get away with what the Republicans are doing with Palin? Truly Pathetic.

He cited a Time article that cited "news reports" of Palin trying to ban those books (no listing though, but it's plausible since the ALA maintains a list of challenged books). Time cited "news reports" from the same liberal sources who opposed Palin's conservative tenure in the city. They said that the Librarian "resigned" after refusing to ban the books.

But there's no record of any administrative attempt to ban any books, and NO BOOKS HAD BEEN BANNED after the disgruntled librarian left work. In fact, none of the subsequent authors can recall any mention of censorship from Palin.

Oh is that why?

That's really useful insight mippo. Especially considering you haven't been able to substantiate ANY position you've ever taken on this subject. Are you absolutely POSITIVE it's the "republican party" that's upset about sexism?

Geraldine Ferraro is a Republican now? The ladies over at the PUMA 527s are all Republicans now? Was it REALLY just self-censorship on Clinton's part?

Are you SURE it's not the fact that Clinton's old netroots organization has officially changed its 527 orientation to oppose Obama as of last friday? It isn't the fact that the vast majority of Hilldog's entire blogosphere has erupted in open revolt against the DNC.

You think I was exaggerating about Hillary or Bust or NoQuarterUSA.org's or Puma08's defection?

It's cute that you think REPUBLICANS could muster that much sexist indignation, but let's face it, they couldn't if they tried, instead you have some seriously pissed-off Clinton Democrats had mobilized to campaign for Palin and McCain this weekend.

I mean, take a look at this chick's blog at the main PUMA PAC's site:
Quote:
Holy smokes, Folks. I think Sarah Palin may have delivered the tagline for a new era of political populism in her address to an “electrfied” Republican party last night.

This morning it is perfectly clear that the DONC has been undone, outmaneuvered, and straight-up outclassed by the Republicans. How does a Palin bear hug feel Nancy? Beside the baby-toting, gun-wielding, big-grinning dynamo from the Wild Wild North, Nancy you look sort of, I don’t know — wan?

The DONC has also been outed — outed as sexist wimps who are too weak to face down bullies. NOT ONCE did a leader of the DONC call out Chris Matthews or Keith Olbermann for their sexist attacks on Hillary . NOT once did the DONC stand up to Kos or Rhoades or the other Blogger Boiz — the keepers of the swamps from which the most abhorrent language and imagery was used to silence, humiliate, and intimidate Hillary supporters (tampon teaparty Anyone?). I could not believe it when Rudy Giuli-freaking-ani demanded last night in tones of thunderous indignation, “How dare they question whether Sarah Palin has enough time to spend with her children and be Vice President. How dare they do that. When did they ever ask a man that question?”

This is called reframing the debate, Folks, and the Republicans have done it again. They have successfully painted the DONC as the political haven for sexists, hypocrites, weaklings, and elitists. Just like Anglachel said last week. Oh, and the sexism? Read HERE, HERE (Taking Out The Trash), and HERE.

And as, Shakes says, “We defend Sarah Palin against misogynist smears not because we endorse her or her politics, but because that’s how feminism works.”

Oh, and the DONC still gets the willies when it gets in close contact with actual representatives of THE WORKING CLASS! EWWWW! I see poor people. YUCK! Why can’t they just go to the dentist for crying out loud? We don’t really have to associate with those freaks do we? (Great way to appeal to voters, Guys).

The thing about Republicans, as wrong as they are about pretty much everything, is that they are UNAPOLOGETICALLY BADASS about their base. They like Christy Todd Whitman and Carly Fiorina and Orrin Hatch, but they LOVE T. Boone Pickens, and Tom Delay, and now, Sarah Palin. Republicans are not embarrassed by the more kooky, less groomed wings of their party — the religious fanatics and gun nuts, the cowboy bizness men who thumb their noses at the law, the down-home shotgun ranch families with more children than dogs or more dogs than children, who can keep count — they LOVE them. They are proud of them and proud to be in the same political party with them.

I don’t think it’s a simple pander for votes (and even if it is, why the hell can’t the DONC learn to do this effectively??) I think a college drop-out like Karl Rove, who makes it all the way to the highest pedestal of power in the world, is absolutely flat-out tickled pink that half of his party is made up of people who have never been inside an Institute of Contemporary Art or an Ivy League library, but yet can still beat the political crap out of every lily-livered weakling in the Whole Foods parking lot. I think they LOVE that stuff.

The DONC, on the other hand? Love their base? Not so much.

They HATE Bill Clinton, but they LOVE Joe Biden? WTF??

They HATE Cindy Sheehan, but they LOVE Nancy Pelosi? WTF??

They HATE Hillary, but they LOVE Michelle? um, why?

The DONC claims to be the party for alternative energy and mass transit, but can you actually imagine Nancy Pelosi on a public bus?

The DONC claims to be the party for universal health care, but can you actually imagine Joe Biden in the waiting room of a community health center?

The DONC claims to be the party for the working class, but can you actually imagine Dianne Feinstein or John Kerry shopping in a Wal-Mart? And enjoying it?

You know, Diane, Barbara, John, Joe, and Barack — there are LOTS and LOTS of Democrats who shop at Walmart. There are LOTS and LOTS of Democrats who take the bus to work not because they are hip and free twenty-something’s making a very SERIOUS sacrifice and commitment to reducing our dependence on foreign oil and Preventing Global Warming, but because they CAN’T FREAKING AFFORD to own a car.

I’m done with the DONC. Absolutely finished. They are an empty-suit party led be an empty-suit candidate. They hate their voters. Well, they seem to love Whole Foods Nation, natch, but I gotta tell you, Whole Foods Nation is kind of like Sweden. There aren’t all that many people there, and probably half of them are secretly Republicans.

The DONC has no core principles and no believable commitment to its base. They can’t even pander successfully. When John McCain reaches out to someone like me and pretends to care about the things I care about in order to get my vote, that’s a pander, pure and simple. I know it. I kind of appreciate it I guess, and I do thank him for the effort — kind of like how a flirtatious pass may be both inappropriate and flattering at the same time. But hey, I’m not fooled. I don’t believe for one millisecond that the Republican Party will suddenly wake up and stop being the party of corporate welfare, reckless war, and religious fundamentalism. They may want Hillary voters, but not THAT much. But, still, the McCain camp has MOST certainly sealed the deal with many, many moderate Independents and conservative Democrats. With the Palin pick, the Fiorina ambassador tour, and the continued polishing of his maverick status, the darn Republicans KNOW HOW TO GO AFTER A VOTE AND THEY ARE NOT AFRAID OR ASHAMED TO TRY.

The DONC? Not so much. With their renewed and frenzied attacks on Palin as a, oh hell — let’s make a list:

BIMBO
GUN CLINGER
RELIGION CLINGER
BAD MOTHER
MILF (look it up if you must)
TEA PARTY HOSTESS
HICK
REDNECK
PIECE OF WHITE TRASH
MOTHER OF A SLUT
HARPIE
HEN-PECKER
This list will be added to in time, I’m SURE.
The DONC has once again, NOT gone after my vote (or the votes of moderate Independents or liberal Republicans (that is WHOLLY beyond their intellectual or strategic grasp)). They have ONCE AGAIN actively attempted to alienate my sympathy. Whatever message or meaning they hope to deliver to me about the Palin pick, the only thing coming through to me is incoherence at best and renewed sexist onslaught at worst.

I say we SELL THEM ON EBAY.

If you have an EBay account (and I know zillions of Puma PAC members do — we are after all working class and many of us are women, and that means we know EBay), will you please offer for sale today:

The DONC! Yes, it’s a failed leadership and ineffective bunch of incoherent political hacks, but hey — the price is right! Absolutely FREE! In fact we’ll even ship them to you for free. Here’s what you get when you take the DONC off our hands:

Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Donna Brazile, Joe Biden, AND Barack Obama! The DO-NOTHING Congress is also included at no extra charge. Heck, we’ll even throw in Markos Moulitsas and the Daily KOS as a special incentive, but watch out! his bite is vicious and has been known to transmit disease.

Take our “leaders” home today — Please!
If you're bored at work tomorrow, go through that Clinton blogosphere directory and check out how NASTY these folks have turned against Obama and how aggressively they've been lobbying Hillary to leave back off and abandon Obama.

More importantly, the weekend polls should hit tomorrow, see if their "weekend action" blipped at all.

The more crazy wild ass accusations that you throw up and are then debunked just make the Republican party look stronger in the eyes of your normal everyday Americans. The stuff that "The Majority" (ie extreme minority of the ultra leftist liberal whackos (like Gobb and IRB)) claims is simply not true and it is viewed as such. There is no way in hell anyone would ever believe that. Period, but you whackos out there keep posting rumors that are unfounded. It is like the little boy who cried wolf. Coincidently, this is what will happen with Global Warming whackos too, they will just melt away. Heh

Anyways, the incredibly biased and liberal pMSNBC has decided to "remove" two of the top three liberals on their staff. Kieth Olberman and Cris Mathews have lost their jobs. Thats right, Countdown and Hardball are getting new hosts and they will only do commentary now and then. Source which was found here.

And for the moron who thought Zogby was a big conservative: This. Since you are entirely too lazy to read I will quote the pertinent passage for you.

He is pretty much spot on. He predicted the Republicans losing in 2006 and Bush winning in 2004. The dude is good.

Do you ever stop while you are typing and think of how much of a whore you are? It has to wear on your psyche at some point to lie about everything you type. Liberal sources huh?

Let's be honest. The neo-con right wing corporate whorebags like you have every reason in the world to lie and distort to win this election. You know what is coming. The fucking that Obama/Biden and democratic congress, democratic attorney general etc will put upon your idiot cabal will be so ferocious that it will take a full 8 year term to complete.

The stakes are very high and the term cultural warfare is absolutely spot on. The core of the democratic party and its leadership does not just want to win this election - it wants to exterminate your party, as it exists now, from existence.

You better hope McCain wins.

Hey did you find any more evidence that Cubans LOOOOOVE communism? How about proof that Sarah Palin had EVER wanted to "succeed" from the USA?

HAHAHA you're fucking Whoopi Goldberg aren't you?

Fucking douche, go "college" yourself a clue. Have some self-respect and quit making a spectacle of your constant faux-pas.

If you're bored at work tomorrow, go through that Clinton blogosphere directory and check out how NASTY these folks have turned against Obama and how aggressively they've been lobbying Hillary to leave back off and abandon Obama.

More importantly, the weekend polls should hit tomorrow, see if their "weekend action" blipped at all.
I expect a "blip" from the convention, not because of any bloggers. The current Republican strategy of "saving" Sarah Palin from the media is working, but it's still absolutely pathetic to do it. The problem is that the majority of our country is fucking stupid and actually believes the shit the Republicans spew forth about the media going after Palin. They treated her no differently then any other candidate but all this bullshit of not talking to the media is doing is not allowing the country to know what her views are right before a Presidential election and getting her a sympathy vote from morons in the process.

Not allowing a Vice Presidential candidate to talk to the media is fucking bullshit. Heck, if it keeps working and the stupid Republicans don't ask for her views, they'll probably extend the holdout all the way to the actual election. Then we'll have a Vice President the country knows nothing about, just awesome.

My biggest problem with the Republican strategy is that they don't give a shit about which candidate is better for the country. Limiting information about our potential Vice President is bad for the entire country, but it's letting the Republican party shield its candidate from potential disastrous blunders and getting her a sympathy vote in the process by denying the citizens in this country the information needed to make an educated (if I can use this word) decision as to who should be elected. Winning the election is more important then getting the information to the public and letting people decide who is best for this country. It's effective, but it really shows that the Republican leadership doesn't care about the country.

If you want to see some evidence of the blind faith placed in the party, check out this poll.

Rasmussen Reports™: The most comprehensive public opinion coverage ever provided for a presidential election.

Only 9% of Republicans feel Bush has been the worst President of all-time (in contrast to 69% of Democrats)

Only 28% of Republicans feel Bush has been bad for the party.

That just shows you right there the blind faith Republicans place in their own party. Only 28% of Republicans feel Bush has been bad for the party? My god, what the hell does he have to do to lose Republican support? Does this poll showing how Republicans vote not strike you as completely irrational?

Sarah Palin's given an interview for People Magazine and she has an ABC interview coming up soon... she's campaigning for the last 8 weeks of the election.

It's curious that you confirm that PUMA leader's opinion of the DNC's elitist core. If they don't agree with you it must because they don't sip your flavor of chai or don't keep their Prius as well tuned as yours. They're right you know, the republicans really ARE proud of all the kooky and unconventional circus freaks in our party. The DNC, on the other hand, is learning the cost of their aloof indifference during this election.

I've mentioned it before but I guess it's possible you just missed it but Palin hasn't shied from interviews but has in fact scheduled one with ABC's Charlie Gibson. But yet you cling to this notion that she's going to somehow flub the interview outside of a "prepared" setting? Despite the fact that not ONLY has she worked as a professional newscaster for years, but she has clobbered two veteran governors in Alaska's gubernatorial debates (one of whom was a 2-time US senator).

And since your entire argument is anchored on Palin "refusing" interviews, well, I guess there goes the rest of your absurd notions.

And as far as conservatives supporting a conservative president, we AT LEAST have the military and political progress in Iraq to be grateful to Bush's tenacity for.

What reason do YOU have for supporting your astoundingly ineffective 110th congress with their 14% approval rating?
