If Obama doesn't win, it will not be because of his politics. It will be because of fear based attacks made by the McCain campaign. The people that buy into this type of campaigning are coincidentally also the same ones holding onto their religious beliefs out of fear. i.e. "if you vote for Obama, he won't be experienced enough to save you from the terrorists!" "if you don't believe and follow everything in this book, you will burn in eternal hell fire!" Fear is a strong tool, and the Right banks on making you a believer! | |

| Feel free to add the General Betray-Us big ad Moveon ran right next to that one! Obama has been on Fox, what, twice in 18 months? It's nice he goes to MSNBC a lot and gets softballs, but really this is hypocritical to the max, especially to a sitting Governor who has responsibilities. |

------ Oh, and Smocca's post that you were replying to was showing avoidance of the PRESS. Not a news channel, but the entire media. Don't try to compare the two sir. Also, if Palin all the sudden shows up for an interview with Fox, it will just further prove my point. Last edited by The Edge; 09-06-2008 at 05:02 PM.. | |

You guys blame fox so much but Foxs news shows are very well crafted to not show bias, if you watch a comentator who never claimed to be impartial and are astounded when its bias you are prolly in the same group of people who think NYTs news stories are bias based on the editorial bias. | |

+29 Internets | So when the Democratic candidate lays out an argument for change, it's just a meaningless marketing term. But when the Republican candidate tries to adopt this message (presumably because it is a powerful message, and not because he hates himself and wants to lose) then it's totally different? Because McCain has identified what he means by "change" in a fundamental way that Obama has not? Kind of a repeat of yesterday's conversation, but witht he fact being that Republicans have tried to straight up swipe the Democrats line, one that the right had a habit of making fun of for it's seeming lack of substance, it's very hard to argue that it doesn't carry significant weight with independants and the Republican base. |

+24 Internets | I really don't see how even Palin supporter's aren't pissed off about this media thing. What the hell harm is there in getting more information? The only explanation is if you were worried she really was incompetent in which case fuck you for wanting to sneak her into office. The only information she has "given" us is a speech written by a Bush speech writer before she was even picked for the VP spot. The parts of the speech which were "her own" were blatant lies. FactCheck.org: GOP Convention Spin, Part II Factchecking Palin, By Hilzoy - CBS News She was arrogant and sarcastic to such an extent that she was obviously overcompensating for something (i.e. her incompetence). Everyone, Palin supporters included, should be asking for true interviews with her. Hiding from the press is about as commie as you get not to mention it makes you a pussy. McCain has gone from a PoW War Hero to a communist pussy. (last part is mostly sarcastic so don't get your panties in a bunch) |

| She's been nominated for.. 8 days. 8 days. I'm sure everyone wants to know more, but... 8 days. In a month you may have a valid point, right now you don't.
