+29 Internets | You are probably just seeing what you are looking for. I work witha guy who thinks Bush is part of some neocon Illuminati and planned 9/11, and another guy who thinks Obama is the Antichrist come to take away all the innocent little babies that McCain, an agent of God, wants to save (that is almost an exact quote). Both sides have equal, but different, fucking whackos. |

+54 Internets | I think the loons on the left just are more visible, they're on the internet. The right wing loons are in a religious camp somewhere, training for a crusade, protesting outside planned parenthood and stuff like that. |

+54 Internets | This is a pretty cool chart. Shows how frequent certain keywords were at each convention. I'm surprised that the Democrats said "9/11" more often than Republicans, though I'm not sure if it includes the tribute videos. ![]() |

Lol which is probably worse. The quite ones always do the most damage when they become loud. | |

| Really interesting chart. From what I could tell from watching both conventions is the Dems spent a lot of time on what Obama/Biden will do and the republicans spent a lot of time on what McCain/Palin have done. Not sure if that was their intentions but I think the chart kinda backs it up a bit. |

| Caught Mccain's speech last night, it was pretty good. he actually proved he is more change oriented than obama. Mccain has shown that he will work with both sides while Obama is only looking at one side of the equation. I admit i would prefer the ruling side casting the template but Mccain's angle is the way of change in the status quo in washington. If he can make that work somehow, i seriously doubt because realistically everyone else in washington will still be hard nosed partisans and will only support their party ideas and reject the opposing side. In this way McCain will be a lame duck president from the day he takes office. |
