+61 Internets | Doesn't Palin have more executive experience than McCain by this standard?

| I still cannot believe McCain dropped the ball like this. What a fucking gift. This broad has no idea what she just walked into. Heartbeat away from the presidency with zero experience in anything. This chick was debating the price of parking tickets in a 450 person town in the middle of no where 3 years ago. She is spectacularly bland and brings nothing to the table. Is this chick gonna stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons? Is this the person we want leading the most powerful country on earth? Her speech was a fucking joke. Between the chants of USA and her gushing over how much she loves our troops. Its like a fucking high school class officer speach. Prepare for battle young lady. |

I do love the fact that she brought up the Bridge to Nowhere shit in her acceptance speech like she was all against it. Yet, not even two years ago she was all for it until most of the country saw that shit was useless and a waste of money, then she changed her tune.

So they can shout "America First!", "Support the troops!", "USA USA USA USA!", "Drill here! Drill now!" or whatever stupid shit the Republicans use to appeal to their inbred supporters, but we need a very smart, thinking person as President. We need a Harvard graduate. Republicans are so stupid. I simply can not believe this pick.

Biden wasnt picked largely because he was white. He was picked for foreign policy. Clearly Obama wouldnt put two black people on the ticket due to race issues in this country, like McCain wouldnt pick a gay person as his VP. But that says nothing about picking a woman because she has a vagina.

+8 Internets | The question is if Hillary was on Obama's ticket, would Palin be the pick? I don't think anyone can answer that yes. Due to picking second, the GOP had the chance to tailor their pick from the results of the DNC. From all accounts it looks like the question of who it was going to be was pretty unstable to the last minute. It's pretty obvious that their choice was in response to Biden. They knew Biden would kill any of their guys in a debate, so they went with someone with a built in excuse. They also knew without Hillary some of the female vote was up for grabs. Personally I think both sides should have to present their candidate at the same time. It's like Arena matches where you pre scout your opponent. It's silly, either the person second in the primaries should be VP or simultaneous press releases of the candidates. |
