I’m stunned - couldn’t the Republican Party find one competent female with adult children to run for Vice President with McCain? I am haunted by the family pictures of the Palins during political photo-ops, showing the eldest daughter, now pregnant with her own child, cuddling the family’s newborn. Certainly, if a child becomes ill and is rushed to the hospital, and you’re on the hotline with both Israel and Iran as nuclear tempers are flaring, where’s your attention going to be? Where should your attention be? Well, once you put your hand on the Bible and make that oath, your attention has to be with the government of the United States of America.

How the hell can you sit here straight faced and say that Palin has been shown 'bias' from the media since her selection a week ago? They've been ripping into her family life non-stop. It has been incredibly disturbing to see how far the twenty-four hour news stations are willing to go these days (FOX included). I would be happy if they were just going after her policies which is definitely fair game, but they aren't.

On a side note for the 'internetz' (both positive and negative) on my avatar, its a picture of Obama holding the NAZI Flag, I am by no means a NAZI. Socialism disgusts me.

Thank you. Looking at the 2nd term of Bill Clinton and saying "democrats are fiscally conservative" is a fallacy. Clinton wanted to do all sorts of things, but he had a republican congress that had dedicated it's existence to thwarting anything he wanted to do. Result? Surplus!

Give the reins of reins of both congress and the white house to either party and they go hog wild (see GWB's first term). The road to fiscal conservatism is to keep them fighting with each other so only the really important stuff can actually get approved.

They shouldn't of been doing it to Obama either, the families of politicians should be off limits unless said family members willingly engage themselves in the political process (ie making speeches on policy).

That is not what I meant. McCain is hiding Palin from talking to the media by using this fake protest. He is wants to hide her radical views from the public. Soon she will have to speak to the public without having a speech written by the McCain campaign in front of her.

It's not a stupid question--it's directly related to the attempts to paint Obama as elitist and out of touch. So in response, McCain fires off a stupid answer for a stupid question?

My answer doesn't matter--I'm not the one running for President, nor do I set policy. Keep working on the character assassination though, because I know you certainly have no real data to post or refutations to make.

I mean, the number crunchers have been through it--Obama will save everyone but the top 2% of the nation's earners money. I like money, do you? Census data shows that every single subset of the American population gets wealthier under Democratic leadership; this extends back at least 70 years.

Abortion, Gay Marriage, Religion--sideshows to the true matters and underpinnings of the way the world works. Sort out the economy, and everything else will fall into place.
