+1 Internets | Edit: Beaten, by half a page =/ Let it begin. Front page of Yahoo. The biggest reason to vote for Democrats over Republicans? The GOP still doesn't realize that we live in an era of instant information, and until we prove to them that we care about facts and reality they will never stop shoveling out the same shit. This is the same reason, by the way, that I could not support Hillary in the primary and, if it came to that, in general. No matter your qualms with Obama may be, the fact remains that he will not let himself be caught in a lie. After being so disrespected for 8 years, can any of you really blame me? And on the note of oration...Obama and Biden didn't have to hide from the world for nearly a week before their speeches. Both were campaigning, but kept a low profile, and while I know everyone practices speeches the fact that Palin completely shut out the world and still gave a distinctly amateur performance (quality of oration-wise) is a snap shot of her entire candidacy.

Now my question is: why the fuck do I care? I was being sarcastic and find your retalitation to be misplaced in direction and, obviously, content. | |

| I've watched both conventions now, both Obama/Biden's speeches and Palin's speeches as well as the supporting speakers from both parties that were televised, and i've noticed something, perhaps not alltogether earth shattering but interesting: Has anyone noticed that when people talk about John McCain's life and record, or Sarah Palin's life and record that they used about 7 minutes each with people whom have known those person's for years, and you felt that each speech was heartfelt? Even with Biden, you got the whole "single parent commuting to work" perspective that gave you some insight into his character. However, when Obama's supporters come on, you get the distinct feeling that nobody really knows anything about him, to the point where you wonder what he has to hide. Then you remember all those associations that made news about 7 months ago, (i.e. ayers and that pastor) and you wonder what else he's hiding. Perhaps it's just me, but I'm not comfortable voting for someone who can't even come up with ONE person to tell Obama's story. (no, an intro video doesn't count). I can't pinpoint his character or how he would act as an executive, and thats honestly the biggest problem with him. |

| Dumb dumb dumb! he said it and laughed when he did because he knew the figure was not accurate. The fact that Obama jumped all over it in his acceptance speech shows how very, very little the left has to attack him with.
