Now, I won't disagree that the current administration is the exact opposite of this idea... but i'm sure everyone has noticed hos distant McCain is trying to be from the current administration.

Even inthis thread there are a lot of people making fun of republicans for being stupid or "simple"... this is the type of shit that makes republicans go crazy and unifies the base.

The irony is that democrats constantly try to paint republicans as big-oil and big-buisness.. when really the base is the opposite.. More so... the democrats are usually the right, elitist that has gotten them the nickname "latte drinkers".
Sorry, I don't want the Average Joe running the most powerful country on the planet. I have no doubt that Average Joe is a great guy with great moral values, but he's a dumb-shit. I'll take the elite, educated man any day of the week to lead the greatest nation this planet has ever seen.

Utterly ridiculous. Indeed, let's paint both parties' supporters with broad strokes and use IRB's punchlines to qualify said statements. How convincing.

The group with this agenda at its very core has been dubbed the "religious right." I can't think of any other faction, belonging to either party, with a more pressing mission to meddle in the affairs of the populace at large.

Yeah I'm with you.

I fail to see how 'small town guy' can pass judgment on a candidate who 'isnt experienced enough to lead' while at the same time prefering to be led by someone who is like them - who wants to be left alone by the world and hasn't really experienced a whole lot outside of their own tiny microcosm.

So long as the only lives that qualify are heterosexual white christians above the poverty line then no, republicans do not attempt to interfere with anyone's life.

The sooner the evangelicals lose their political power the better off we'll be as a nation.

The group with this agenda is known as the "religious right." I can't think of any other faction, belonging to either party, with a more pressing mission to meddle in the affairs of the populace at large.

Apparently you missed the whole point..... The point of last nights convention was to unify the republican base using the same tactic that they have used for 15 years.. Its not about religion/guns/etc,. In the end republicans unify under one idea.... the elite left trying to control them.

I wasn't trying to make a claim that I think its "right" or logically.. Fuck that.. everyone knows both republicans and democrats lie about everything.. More so, but parties are so far away from what they "were" that they really should both be renamed. Democrats are clearly the more fiscal conservative.. yet republicans still hold to that line....

THe same shit happens for the dems too. People vote for ideals which is why this 2-party system will never go away.. Short of a republican candidate saying hes going to make abortion legal, raise taxes, and create stiffer gun-control laws most republicans will vote republican just because theres an R next to their name

Hi.

Im the environmental/greenpeace/tree hugger coalition.

Have we met?

Let me introduce you to my friends welfare and handout leeches.

Just because the method of the meddling isn't direct doesn't mean that the impact is any less so.

The tree-huggers have done so much bad for this country in terms of energy efficiency I can't believe you can even make this point.... We should be leading the energy-change but because a baby animal may get hurt in the process we have to cut our nuts off and pass the burden onto the american people(IE higher energy costs)

Just because party A is full blown retarded doesn't let Party B who is less retarded off the hook.

Calling the democrats fiscally conservative is like calling a horse a truck. Does not compute.

Emphasis mine to help you along on your second read-through. I'm well aware that both parties have crackpots. I personally consider the issues at the core of the religious right to be far, far more invasive than those of any other faction.

just because you're the size of a small town doesn't mean you should pretend to have any idea what small towners think.

Yes, your bad.

Clearly, those statements were my opinion and never disguised as anything otherwise. Stop replying to me, you are a horrific reader and poster.
