| Your talking about something of substance. A specific value of women's rights. She won't go into details other then things which relate directly to her family and personal experience. She can't go into her labor because of the controversy surrounding her behavior, for example. Shes going to say something along the lines of "because I am a women just like you i am going to stand up for our rights just like you!" which completely ignores the fact that shes staunchly pro-life (which she won't mention). She will repeat that statement in about a dozen different flavors. Her speech tonight will have almost nil in actual substance because frankly there isn't any. I know this sounds like an IRB right now but seriously there really isn't. All these talk about executive experience is nice but no one can name a single executive decision shes made. Not a single one. Further the comparison of her governorship of 9,000 people to a small town is completely valid. Not having had to deal with state taxes is further valid. Arguments all completely misdirected and downplayed by people who don't want them discussed. Her two claims to fame are fighting corruption amoung her relatively small state and selling a plane on ebay. She has jack all for substance. Tonight is all about appeals to emotion and appeals to pity + women's rights + fight corruption.

In the nationally televised speech, she stood by McCain and said, "I've championed reform to end the abuses of earmark spending by Congress. In fact, I told Congress thanks, but no thanks, on that bridge to nowhere. If our state wanted a bridge, I said, we'd build it ourselves." However, as a candidate for governor in 2006, Palin had backed funding for the bridge. After her election, she killed the much-ridiculed project when it became clear the state had other priorities. She said she would use the federal funds to fill those needs.

nail, meet coffin. coffin, nail. republicans can line allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the crazy evangelicals up they want. independents who identify themselves as such are typically MUCH more informed than the average republican or democratic voter. in a race that was all about the middle, McCains pretty much lost it with this crazy ass pick that destroyed his foreign policy, experience, 'different/outsider', and fiscally responsible/the dems will raise your taxes/earmarks arguments.

We Democrats, paragons of progress that we have always been, have chosen Barack Obama to lead our people into a new era of prosperity. You're right that we made the hard and difficult choice to back Obama. That's what the right choice has always been, difficult. You don't understand that, coming from the party of feel good short sightedness, but you shouldn't fret. The elder and wiser Democrats are here to fix your mistakes and knock you on your ass, just so in 16 years when your party isn't so toxic you can repeat the same host of mistakes. Go suck another bushel of evangelical dick, because you sure as hell don't have a shot at the white house otherwise.

Right now the only thing they got going for them in terms of a reason to be pissed when it comes to finances is the tax code. And Palin isnt even an actual fiscal conservative. I'll be ready for Romney in 2012. -woman whos authored NUMEROUS fiscal conservative rants on these boards on issues ranging from mortgages to stimulus checks to funding allocation for public education
