I like it when republicans take advantage of something like this to defend how the homeless are being abused.

Since when do republicans give a damn about the homeless? Get them off the streets when important people visit.

I agree that both liberals and conservatives are both pretty poor in their track records dealing with homeless. I just found this too funny not to post, it's so obvious what they are up to...

Why not apply for welfare and at least get some government housing to live in and food?

Its not like there isn't a system to handle homeless or safety nets to catch these people.

Maybe it's this misguided idea that since they served their country in an illegal war, and often were injured, that their country should be the ones taking care of them now.

Sort of like what Iraq veterans will be experiencing in the next 15-20 years.

While I agree with you on both Iraq and Vietnam Grobbee, I'm kind of curious how many "legal" wars there have been outside of Kosovo and the first Iraq war.

No more of an oxymoron than "Legal War" would be. There might be wars that some groups feel morally superior engaging in, but in the end war is about destruction and killing the enemy to achieve your goals.

Have you ever met the homeless. They aren't as cuddly and sad as you would think.

They get into fights, cuss loudly, bum tax everyone so they can buy booze, get more unruly, follow you down the street until you give them something, waste your time with nonsense jabbering, not allow you to walk past them without trying to tax you, and sit outside ATMs and get crazy on you.

You don't truly hate the homeless until hundreds of them live a few feet from were you are. I have no compassion for them.
