| Yeah, yeah, it is Countdown, but you can ignore most of what Olbermann is saying, aside from the clip set up. Do you really think McCain is considering the draft or he just wasn't paying attention? |

| I agree, we should draft old ladies. Is it even up to him? I've heard more than one army official saying that their all-volunteer status is more helpful than harmful. He just wanted to avoid having it out with an old white lady, likely a strong base of support given his opponent. I don't know what his position is on the draft, but I think he would defer to those in that manage the military were he elected president. |

| I dunno why we would institute a new draft, our professional military is by far more effective than any conscript army has ever been... i mean didnt the draft basically suck in vietnam? not only did no one want to be there but they werent very good soldiers either =/ olbermann is such a retard though it makes me angry just to hear that asshole open his mouth... he is in the exact same arena as hannity in that he is so far off center and so biased that no one who doesnt think like him even cares what he says... he might actually be worse since he doesnt even expend much effort in trying to pretend that he is fair and balanced. | John McCain is a fraud desperately trying to win votes. He is too old to run any country I live in period. Personally I think if someone like McCain won, we'd be a bigger target for a further terrorist attack.

| A Bearded Gnome | Sean Hannity doesn't pretend to be fair and balanced lol. Even O'Reilly basically calls Hannity a right wing kook.

If elected Commander in Chief, I don't believe John McCain would do anything at all to avoid World War III. There's no doubt in my mind that John McCain would expedite World War III if he had the opportunity. It would be so easy for Obama's campaign to grind McCain's alleged judgment into the dirt when it comes to foreign relations and the military. Fear mongering is a very Republican thing to do though, and I think Obama doesn't want to stoop that low.

+29 Internets | Have you heard the man speak about Iran? Or Syria? He's a goddamn walking international gaffe machine. Electing him is basically voting for war with Iran. I agree with Agraza, I used to respect both of these men a lot more than I do now, and watching them both compromise their values in order to pander to the right wing has been painful. I don't have much faith in either. I'll still vote for Obama, because I think he's the most likely to try and avoid more war in the middle east. But he has definitely changed. |

Its simple: Iran is crazy Iran are building nukes Iran wont stop building nukes unless forced. Crazy people are better dead than having nuclear weapons. No one, especially the US and Israel, but also including every other tin pot state in the middle east, want Iran with nuclear weapons. No one. They either get rid of their crazy religious leadership or they get war. It matters not who is leading the US. They both know the stakes.

| sucks that the majority of Iranian people are pretty moderate who despise arabs. For anyone interested please pick up this month's issue of National Geographic. It's cover story is an amazing article about Persia past and present with sources from my professor and written by his colleague.

+29 Internets | What the fuck are you talking about? So you have the evidence of Iran's nukes that have eluded every single organization, wordlwide, who has looked into it? But yeah we've been through this before with Iraq, so we should just pretty much trust what Republican pundits say on the issue and ignore actual facts. Is that your point? Or do you even have one? They don't have nukes or a program to create nukes. According to the evidence, you're full of shit. Last edited by chaos; 08-20-2008 at 11:26 PM.. |

| Any state decision regarding same-sex marriages is naturally going to fall under federal legal jurisdiction sooner or later because of the full faith and credit clause; theres no avoiding a national standard on the issue. |
