I disagree. I was that guy once and I got over it, it took like 4-5 months to get over the worst effects, then another 6-12 months with the current GF to get over the baggage I was dragging around, but I got over it all. Just takes time, good friends, and a girlfriend willing to put up with your shit for a little while and help straighten you out, but its possible.
