myspace is awesome for up and coming bands. My little brother (just finished junior year of HS) has a band, theyve been screwing around for a few monthes and they have a myspace with a song on it. I doubt anything will ever become of it, but its still powerful.

Not to mention major acts that use their myspace page in place of a real website. Girl Talk for instance, blogs, tour dates/locations, new mixes all on his myspace page.
Did you happen to see him in new haven?

I'm not too concerned with facebook having information about me. I put up what i want people to know, and untag myself from what i dont want to be seen. Its not too difficult, and its a lot better than myspace in the sense that there arent ads jumping out at you and annoying .gif backgrounds that people have to have to "personalize" their wall

I've not met one person who currently has a Myspace/Facebook that isn't a total douchebag.

Maybe I've just had a string of bad luck, but I'd like to think it's a pattern.

Facebook is basically required if you're still in college.

I made it through school just now without succumbing to Facebook or Myspace. I sure make a lot of phone calls though.

90% of the people I've met in college have Facebook, maybe more. It really is part of college nowadays.

How old are you?

Even the nerdiest, most stereotypical geek I know has a facebook in college. You're either 12 or 82.

I was going to mention that - I've not met one other person who doesn't have a Myspace or Facebook and is younger than my parents. I wasn't aware they existed.

You can auto-ignore all application notifications on facebook.

It was about what made people tick. Despite his virtuoso ability at coding, Zuckerberg didn't choose to study computer science. Instead, he majored in psychology.
Best part of the article.

This is a GREAT read.

Good article. I sort of feel bad for the people who worked with him and then got pushed out, but not for the douche-bags at Harvard who wanted to make a site but couldn't do it and tried to get him to do it for them. It's not just about having an idea, you also have to make it happen. I'm sure before Henry Ford there were a lot of people who said "Boy, I bet it would be nice if there was an affordable carriage that didn't need a horse" and they might have even said it to him, but that doesn't mean he owes them money cause he's the one that made it happen. At most these Harvard kids idea was a minor evolution of something that already existed anyway so I think that they should STFU.

Actually I think that the people before Henry Ford were saying "hmm there has to be a faster way to make these cars"

Hehe, I knew somebody was going to post that Ford didn't invent cars, which was true, but you get what I'm sayin.
