The not-complete-fucking-douchebag answer being that human males are generally less resistant to allergies in their early/mid-20s (post-adolescence the immune system's prowess slows down as sexual peak is passed) and it has nothing at all to do with how you treat your body. How the fuck can you say such obvious bullshit and then quote a passage citing a football player who takes care of their body and yet has allergies? Wait, I know, you are a proven retard. | |

| EQ1 Apologist | Well, your first article was an oversimplification, but it's true that deficient immune systems are at the heart of the matter for most allergies. The latter article is totally off base when it alleges that antigens are ineffectual, however. More grains of truth buried in a mountain of bullshit from Lumie. |

| What is the best way to lose about 60 lbs of weight? Over the last couple years I have let myself go and have been eating bigger portions and a lot of junk food and sodas. I used to have a really decent body but it has turned into something that I hate. I want to get back in shape and am looking for some advice. I live pretty close to my college gym so I have unlimited access to it. About how much time per day should I be in the cardio room working out? Will going into the weight room and lifting weights help me lose weight faster than sitting on a bike or a running machine?

| one thing i did several years ago was stop drinking soda. i had (still kinda have) bad eating habits. i can't just do everything at once. so i take it one thing at a time. i almost never drink regular soda or drinks that contain sugar. i don't drink the diet sodas with aspartame either because i don't like the way it tastes. there are flavored water and diet sodas without aspartame. those things, along with plain waters, is what i drink 99.9% of the time. i still eat junk food sometimes like chips and sweets, but one thing i've managed to do is to replace some of my snack choices with fruits and veggies. my personal favorite is carrots or celery with a little dressing to dip them in. | Dominatus | I couldn't ever give up soda ;0. What I did do was switch to glass bottles. I've noticed that when drinking soda from a glass bottle I'll sip it a lot more than I'd chug it from a can or plastic bottle. I don't know why this is, I just assume it has something to do with glass bottles of soda weighing so much more and maybe tricking myself into thinking there's more there. Typically a 12oz glass bottle lasts me longer than a 1liter would before. There's also other health reasons to switch(aluminum linked to many mental aging problems, and the estrogen shit they're discovering with plastics), but they weren't my primary reasons. Also makes it easier to avoid high fructose corn-syrup, since most glass sodas are premium brands made with cane sugar.

| Lumie, you seem to be pretty anti-big-pharma. What is your take on Viagra/Cialus/Levitra/Other ED drugs? They apparently work perfectly? Surely there must be some horrible side effect? If so, whats a good natural alternative to the madness. |

| I gave up soda earlier last year and it really hasn't been so bad. When I go out to eat I'll still get it once in a while but that's it. I've found that running helps me to lose the most weight. Each semester I put on about 10 pounds but I can drop it in about a month or so with some willpower and exercise. I usually fluctuate between 170 and 185 so take that for what you will.
