+5 Internets | Buy a slow cooker. Crock pot whatever you want to call it. Get a Raost beef. Leave the fat on it and cook for the day. When it's done , strip the fat and tear the roast beef to shreds. Put raost beef back into crock pot. Add green peppers, red peppers, tomatoes, whatever onions. Just vegetables. Then add seasoning, I use Barbecue sauce and a little bit of beer to make it a little more liquidy. Let slow cook on low for another hour or so . Then take the moist mush of beef and vegetables and put it in a wrap. , Grill it if you want, you don't need to use butter or anything for this and then eat it. A whole roast with some vegetables with feed a pair of people that eat normally for about 3 days(dinner). Costs about 20 bucks Canadian total for this... I cook everything in the slow cooker then I just put it in a wrap with some barbecue sauce. I can put in a bunch of veggies and some meat to bulk it up and it all tastes fantastic though I prefer a beef froast over say chicken or something. You can toss the roast in the cooker when you leave for school/work and it'll be done when you get home, fantastic. The best thing about slow cookers is outside of the initial preparation they require little effort on the cooks part. Occasional stir when you walk by is fine. That and one of those geroge foreman style grills are the only thing I use in my kitchen. I use the grill just to grill flat breads and wraps that's it. If I use the oven ever it's to heat up water for pasta noodles. |

+16 Internets | Yeah, she reminds me of my Aunt Sandy who is one of those women (a bit hefty, of course) who will not let you leave her house unless you're waddling out and groaning you're so full. She was always rather loud, but in a good way and had one of those hysterically contagious laughs. She was the first person who steamed live crabs in front of me. They screamed like children on fire. Thankfully my growling belly and the wonderful scent of Old Bay Seasoning kept me from feeling too bad about eating them. She also gave me my first beer when I was ~13, told me you can't eat fresh steamed crab without one. Soon as I'd get to her house she'd say, "Yer Aunt Sandy's gonna fatten you up!!". She never did, but I am now so picky when I eat crab anywhere I may as well never order it again. I've not found anyone who can top hers, not even some very nice seafood places. I obviously can't make them fresh on my own, the screams still haunt me. ![]() Paula's show is up there on the 'porn' type. Watching her make desserts is painful. She made this one stuff that was like the 'white folk' Tiramisu. She used Nilla wafers, pudding and other wonderful things. I'm hungry. |

| I watch her show sometimes to remind me of home. They sound like I do and all the people I miss. It gets frustrating having people look at me strange when I go out =/ some of her dishes don't remind me of home, but others do. There was a natural food type store where I lived a few years ago. They sold some of that off the wall stuff you don't normally see in a store. I'm moving again later this year, though. Going to a smaller town in the mountains. One thing I love to eat is a bowl of black-eyed peas with a fresh sliced tomato. I dunno if that's something people eat everywhere, but it's very delicious and I'm going to assume healthy. It's super fast to make. I put salt on this when I eat it, but lately i've been trying not to eat an entire bottle of salt with each meal. |

| I despise Paula Dean. I found her tolerable when I first started watching Food Network a few years ago, but since then her sassy southern attitude has magnified about 1000%. It is very creepy now. It was disturbing when my wife and I were at a wedding this past weekend and the couple gave away, as their party favor, a bag of grits with a recipe for "Paula Dean's cheesy grits" attached to it. Also all of the food at the reception was Paula Dean inspired. I've eaten at her restaurant in Savannah and made a few of her recipes, and while it was good, that shit is so heavy you can only eat it about once a year.

| Nobody likes Everyday Italian with Giada's Boobs? The only shows I watch regularly on Food Network are Good Eats (112 episodes marked "never delete" on my DVR) and Iron Chef America, but I like Tyler Florence's show. His food tends to be a bit more complex, but that doesn't bother me cause I like to cook, but the stuff he makes is money every time. I have copied several of the things he's done on the show and it's always awesome. Rachel and Sandra on the other hand, turn out all sorts of crap. Sure it's easy but so is going to McDonalds :P. Sandra is the worst with her pre-cut broccoli and stuff. Some of Rachel's stuff looks good but other times I swear she drew 4 ingredients out of a hat and put them together, and it always makes me grind my teeth when she says "Stewp". |

+16 Internets | This is a pretty random comment! I figured if you guys cook, you probably grill too or at least eat outside. I went to Target yesterday and they had pretty much all of their outdoor picnic/eating type of things marked 75% off which included some pretty bitchin' coolers (the big sturdy ones with handles and wheels). I got an entire (matching) set last year for about 30 bucks which had a cooler, two beach bags, beach towels & blankets, food tents, plates, cups, plastic utensils, table cloth, etc. I picked up a table cloth (real cloth, not the paper crap), sun tea pitcher, lemonade pitcher, coasters, dish towels to match my awesome new dishes, some more food tents (which are the best thing ever) and 3 serving platters for under $10.00. They had other stuff, but I'm not sure how interested you'd be in sprinklers that look like alligators. It's in-store only, by the way. |

| giada's boobs are nice, but her head freaks me out a bit. i'd still do her of course, but the one thing i would worry about most is her saying certain words during the intercourse. i can't watch her show because of it. just fucking say spaghetti like the rest of us. you don't have to constantly remind me (in that way) that your family is italian and you speak italian. |

| Today I made chicken fajitas... they were pretty good and healthy. Ingredients: 1 Big Onion 1 Big green (or red) Pepper 1 Pound of chicken breast tenders Cumin Red Pepper Adobo Goya Whole wheat tortilla Serves 3 people (or 3 meals) Easy to cook. Cook the onions and peppers on medium-high heat... make sure they onions are completely separated in layers. I cut the onion in half, then make slices so I get an arc of onion, then split those in half. The green pepper I cut in half, then cut long strips from the stem to the bottom, then cut those strips in half. I also added mushrooms for extra flavoring. Season the chicken with some adobo goya (you can use garlic, salt and pepper as alternative), cumin, red pepper. Cook on a medium-high pan without anything else in it so it gets brown.(I use same pan ) Make wraps of the chicken and the veggies. And you have healthy fajitas! Salsa is not that bad, so you could also add some of it... or even tabasco sauce or any other hot sauce...I would add a picture, but I forgot to take it... I had uncooked leftovers so I will edit a picture in once I make em ![]() ----------------------------------- Also, I got my bike fixed and now I can really run... Got a new tire, new seat, one of those neat things that measure your speed/distance/time. I did 3 times the amount of distance that I have been doing in only double the time. I did 9 miles in 45 minutes (not counting the small breaks I took)... average speed of 11mph (max 26mph). They are building a sidewalk on one of the streets, so I have to go slower on that area because it is pretty scary with the limited space I have atm... once they open it (soon) I will be able to run much more. I wish I knew the area a bit more or I had someone to go with so I would adventure some outside of campus. |

| Good call getting the cyclometer. That thing gives me a lot of motivation because it makes it easier to set goals, both short and long term and having your speed right there in front of you lets you know when you're doggin it. I actually reached a milestone with mine this week. |
