| MacbookPro Camera Problem Recently my Macbook Pro's built in camera stopped working. That is, when I go into photobooth the Camera icon is slashed out and it doesn't think I have a camera connected. The Mac forums have been worthless, can anyone tell me how to fix this? The laptop is recently new and I didn't install anything new or plugin any new peripherals. Thanks Last edited by Goliath : 05-08-2008 at 09:46 PM. |

| My 3 month initial warranty is gone, but if I buy the apple care (it's been under a year) will they fix problems right away? Or do I have to come back another visit and pretend the problems came after apple care (this is for something else, I still think camera is something stupid.) Anyone know? |

| but macs never have a problem ever, they are so easy to use! tbh the apple care crap would probably just cost you more than getting a decent $50 cam at any electronics store, you sacrifice ultra kewl hipster lol its built in, but it saves you money |

| Getting Apple Care no matter what because I'm going to Europe for a month in July and taking the Laptop with me. I'm not buying a separate camera, I don't even ever use it, I just want it fixed. The research I did said people have the same camera problem when they dloaded other software, but no real fixes and I didn't dload anything new. Gotta be a way to enable/disable camera? |

+9 Internets | try booting into Mac's safe mode Mac OS X: Starting up in Safe Mode , and then reboot normally. Also check the system profiler (utility directory) to see if it shows up. (Under USB devices) Also resetting the SMC might work: Resetting an Apple portable's System Management Controller (SMC) Last edited by Drave : 05-09-2008 at 05:55 AM. |

System Profiler only shows the Trackpad and the Internal Keyboard as well as the IR Receiver under USB devices. | |

| Bought a new MBP 1.5 months ago and recently a bright spot appeared on my LCD screen. I went to a service centre today and the guy is like ok just fill this form and I can get you a new LCD panel. Took 10 minutes to do that. I think Apple has very good customer service. If it's under warranty they'll basically fix it. 90 day is the phone support where you call them and they troubleshoot your problem. You don't really need that. Just call and ask for a service centre near you. Wow retard much? People don't get Applecare to fix their iSight. |
