That shit right there is dangerous. I hope it is just an isolated incident and won't come up in other rallies. If it does and Palin/McCain don't denounce it, shit could get real FAST.

Sure it would benefit Obama Campaign, but seriously I don't think we want to go down this road, cause it leads to some very very dangerous territory.

I live in a small town that has massive tourists so the smarter homeless people come around and love to camp out near by . A lot of these guys have wrecked family lives and are constantly on the run from themselves. The will show up at the bar and give you a sad story to get drinks. In a drunken state, Ive given some of them drinks only later to find they are running from there life, not the law or something of the like. They are defeated people, life asked something from them and they couldn't deliver and it weighs on there conscience.

Lol such a classy crowd that Sarah Palin attracts.

Go republicans! Make us hate each other! Despair! More of the same!

The McCain has become pathetic enough to get the glowing endorsement of James Dobson...sort of.

Quote:
"It’s probably obvious which of the two major candidates’ views are most palatable to those of us who embrace a pro-life, pro-family worldview," Dobson said.

"While I will not endorse either candidate this year, (in fact, I’ve only endorsed one presidential nominee in my life) I can say that I am now supportive of Senator John McCain and his bid for the presidency.

"While certainly not perfect, the 2008 Republican Platform comes closest to embracing those ideals by a wide margin."

Now the herd of Republicans can safely vote for McCain so you will not go to Hell. No worries. Dobson has spoken. You have now officially been told how to think.

If you look at the racist remarks I linked earlier, this really doesn't seem to be isolated. Even if it's not all coming from McCain, he's not out denouncing any of it. For those who haven't clicked the washington post article, these are the scary parts:

Quote:
Worse, Palin's routine attacks on the media have begun to spill into ugliness. In Clearwater, arriving reporters were greeted with shouts and taunts by the crowd of about 3,000. Palin then went on to blame Katie Couric's questions for her "less-than-successful interview with kinda mainstream media." At that, Palin supporters turned on reporters in the press area, waving thunder sticks and shouting abuse. Others hurled obscenities at a camera crew. One Palin supporter shouted a racial epithet at an African American sound man for a network and told him, "Sit down, boy." ...

The reception had been better in Clearwater, where Palin, speaking to a sea of "Palin Power" and "Sarahcuda" T-shirts, tried to link Obama to the 1960s Weather Underground. "One of his earliest supporters is a man named Bill Ayers," she said. ("Boooo!" said the crowd.) "And, according to the New York Times, he was a domestic terrorist and part of a group that, quote, 'launched a campaign of bombings that would target the Pentagon and our U.S. Capitol,' " she continued. ("Boooo!" the crowd repeated.)

"Kill him!" proposed one man in the audience.

Author Donald Miller is a faith-based writer and came to my school on Sunday to speak. He gave a completely different prospective from James Dobson and endorsed Obama. I'm not really interested in the religious aspects of the election but it was pretty interested nonetheless.

And if you live in a suburb of Virginia, Joe McCain (John's brother) thinks you're a communist: McCain's Brother: VA Suburbs "Communist Country"

They have officially jumped the shark.

I'd imagine they have to be pretty desperate in Virginia. After all, VA was a LOCK for the Republicans. It is pretty much the definition of Red State. Problem is, NOVA grew too fast, and Hampton Roads still votes Democrat in spite of the large military population.

These kinds of ads, articles, and humor are targeted at the more rural VA areas, and who knows, it might work. There is still a large rural population who are known for their turnout, and these are the same people who were on TV saying that Obama was a muslim so the chances of a large Obama turnout in rural VA is probably not going to happen.

I see now. You're one of those people that looks for reasons to be offended. It must be frustrating to go through life like that.

I don't know if the negative ones will fly tonight. Unless McCain does his usual Maverick™ thing and ignores the advice of his advisors, bringing that stuff up in the debate tonight will be like the 18th nail in the coffin. Somebody called it earlier in the thread; if he brings any of them up, Obama is going to have several counters for each that will make him wish he didn't. He did well by keeping it mostly professional in the first debate. My friends, middle class, and economy are words that will put a seasoned drinker under the table though so even if he doesn't bring up the negatives....gg! ;p

The Alaska Independence Party, By Steve Benen - CBS News

Officials of the Alaskan Independence Party say that Palin was once so independent, she was once a member of their party, which since the 1970s has been pushing for a legal vote for Alaskans to decide whether or not residents of the 49th state can secede from the United States. And while McCain's motto -- as seen in a new TV ad -- is "Country First," the AIP's motto is the exact opposite -- "Alaska First -- Alaska Always."

Lynette Clark, the chairman of the AIP, tells ABC News that Palin and her husband Todd were members in 1994, even attending the 1994 statewide convention in Wasilla. Clark was AIP secretary at the time.

"We are a state's rights party," Clark -- a self-employed goldminer -- tells ABC News. The AIP has "a plank that challenges the legality of the Alaskan statehood vote as illegal and in violation of United Nations charter and international law."

Clearly the VPILF pin up girl should really becareful about digging up past dirt. She may just end digging up some skeletons from her own closet.
