Weird question about electricity...

Okay, so I know this sounds far fetched first of all, but bare with me. So I've become to notice a pattern evolving for...years now. It seems that every time I get very emotional (on either side of the spectrum) that I affect the lights around me.

Really though, it's streetlights and the same type of fluorescent lighting hanging on the side of buildings. I swear, if I'm really depressed or something just walking through the park or sitting in a parking lot or even driving down a lighted street, I notice street lights constantly fading out or flickering back and forth until they shut out. The first couple of times it happened I chalked it up to coincidence (and at the right times, I still do - when it's completely obvious) but my question is - can a person's energy ('vibes') so to speak literally affect electricity currents around them? I have other friends verify this weird phenomenon around me, so I know I'm not hallucinating...but again, not trying to jump off the deep end here.
Just wondering if there is a scientific explanation behind this.

edit: and to throw in there, I know there is a such thing as people who are 'hypersensitive' to electricity or whatever, like whenever they're around TVs and whatnot...maybe this is something along the likes of that?

well, if i fall asleep with the lights on I always wake up feeling sick and nauseous, with my mouth very dry and a slight sore throat.

I dont like really bright lights at night in my living room for prolonged periods of time.

Err. All street lights do that since they are activated by light sensors... so when you drive past with your headlights they flicker or turn off.
