+4 Internets | Incompetence Not Conspiracy (Whitehouse email storage) Whenever, I listen to people proclaim that the Bush administration have some sort of conspiracy for anything I usually laugh. I could still be wrong as they might mask all their intentions via stupidity. Upgrading to an exchange system for the magnitude of emails they have to manage was ridiculous in itself but this takes the cake: "Instead, the White House has instituted a comically primitive system called "journaling," in which (to quote from a recent Congressional report) "a White House staffer or contractor would collect from a 'journal' e-mail folder in the Microsoft Exchange system copies of e-mails sent and received by White House employees." These would be manually named and saved as ".pst" files on White House servers." An elephant never forgets? George W. Bush's lost e-mails: Page 1 It's bad enough he has shitty advisor's on pretty much everything but they can't hire competent software people either. Unless this is an elaborate plan to meet the requirements of backing up public data and possibly selectively removing certain types of emails by paid staffers, i'll have to doubt that considering the fact that the requires actual planning. |

| There is a point where incompetence becomes complicity. I may have been born at night, but I wasn't born last night
