+1 Internets | Best Poker Room in Vegas? I'm either playing 5/10 limit Hold'em...Or 2/4 no limit... I was planning on playing some NLHE tournaments too...I had heard Venetian and Caesars were the places to go. Suggestions? |

| Venetian is very nice, awesome room, drinks are fantastic, good TVs all around the room, and hot waitresses. Wynn has way hotter waitresses (talking new york runway model quality), drinks are ok, room is lux, comps are mediocore. Caesars sucks imo, they got recently bought by Flamingo (I think?) and comps have gone downhill,, the waitresses are FUCKING UGLY (1/2 are grandma age), and drinks are extremely slow. Pretty much every single hotel nowadays has a decent poker room, the only thing is at the low limits you are basically playing against people who will call every flop and move all in with random ass cards, so its dubious how much "skill" is really involved in winning. A lot of locals to go places like Orleans, Palms (hot waitresses, but tiny room), Red Rock, South Pointe, etc. Oh, MGM Grand has a very nice room that is smoke free, if you are a nonsmoker. My parents live in vegas and I head over at least once a month and usually play poker, tbh its more for the pulse and "gamblers rush" than actually playing. During weekends half the players are drunk and a quarter are very, very good so its not exactly the type of environment where you will do well. I usually take $100 and stop when its gone, probably 30% of the time I end up with $0, 20% I end up with > $400, and 50% I stop after an hour or two with $50-60. At Venetian and Palms I usually only have to wait 20-30 mins even on busy nights. I usually prefer playing on weekdays during the day ("serious poker"), on weekends its just sharks trying to catch fish and I don't want to be the in the middle of that. Oh, Palazzo just opened up you can try that one too, its right next to Venetian. |

+1 Internets | I'm staying at the Wynn....I had heard the games there were awful though. A lot of people are telling me Venetian is the new poker room to play in...Like the Bellagio used to be. Thanks Spronk |

| It really depends on what type of atmosphere you are going for. I head to Vegas 3 or 4 times a year and exclusively play poker and bet on sports. The last handful of trips I have stayed and played at Caesars. There are a few really good players but there are enough fish to go around that you can stay clear of the locals. There is always some sort of convention taking place and lots of times the business people just want to sit down and see what it is like to play live poker. Play pot odds and you will make money pretty much daily. Like spronk said, though, if you are going to look at the waitresses and get a constant flow of drinks, Caesars is not for you. Personally I don't drink when I am playing so I don't really notice the service. I have had good luck at the Bellagio as well but I like the Caesars sports book more so I almost always stay there.

| The Wynn is really fucking nice. I walked thru there in just tshirt+jeans and felt completely underdressed. Tons of douchebag tool fucks wearing blazers and ripped jeans and shit. Anyways, the hotel was pretty nice. The Venetian always seemed packed for their poker tournies. I never played any but there were always tons of people there playing it. |

| The MGM has a nice room, right by the club, so if you want eye candy there area always plenty of hotties heading to the club. Waitresses were damn nice too. Also the MGM doesn't mess around with Bad Beat Jackpots or Monty Carlo boards and that junk. Some people complain that they don't have these "bonuses" but because they don't they have a much move favorable rake rate compared to other places on the strip. That money for those bonuses comes from somewhere and usually it's out of the pot. |
