The best/worst ringtone thread.

I'm stuck with this one. Every time I change it to something else I stop reacting to it for some reason and miss calls.

Eomer: it doesn't take a whole lot to get some ringtones on your phone. if you're interested (which you're not, but whoever is) go to Myxer - Download Ringtones and More they got a ton available for free you can even pick what part of the song you want. really should take more than a few minutes to get a few ringtones. when you are receiving 50 calls a day, it makes the process a whole lot easier to know as soon as you hear the ringer if i want to answer it or not.

Damn that site is awesome. I finally get to pick just the right part of Final Countdown - for free! - only to find out that Verizon has disabled ring tones on the god damn LG VX8100. What a bastard company they are.

I don't think my Verizon phone allows me to use a custom ringtone either, so I have to pick whatever they sell. I like it regardless.

don't sweat it i got the fix for you

you gotta get into the service menu. to do that hit the menu button then press the * button. (it might be "0" i haven't done this in a while). it'll ask you for a passcode which should be 000000. then go through the options in there and you will find one for enable MP3. turn it on and you should be good to go.

Hm, I got into the service menu, but couldnt find the mp3 option. Guess the LG Chocolate doesn't have it.

On my old phone I had the Alabama Leprechaun rap as a ring, when the lady says "Could be a crackheaaad". After a few calls at work, though, I had to change that shit. It was funny for a few days though.

I use BitPim to load custom ring tones on my verizon phone.

I've used Audacity and Wavepad to cut out the parts I want from them.

When I had sprint i used Tonethis which sent the clips to my phone as a msg.

Got lazy with looking up links for all the things except bitpim.

I've always just used ToneThis. Lets you take any mp3 and cut out the section you like, then message it to your phone.
