Well, some republicans resign, some don't like that gay guy from Idaho. In either case, I admired Spitzer for his tough stances and time spent prosecuting, but now. Fuck, just another dumbass who can't practice what he preaches. Do the country a favor and quit while you are ahead.

Mcgreevey took his time retiring so the republicans wouldnt take control of the state during an election season. he vanquished his office on election day. the new rumor is that spitzer wants to resign but doesnt want his rival to take over the office.

Discretion is the only thing I could think of. But it seems he got himself 'cause. They grabbed him for doing fishy things with his finances, then when they investigated they found out he was moving money to cover him paying for hookers. So it was his own fault, not the hookers.

actually the bank informed the feds Spitzer was moving large amounts of money from his accounts. they dont know if he was using that cash for hookers or to pay off people to keep quiet about his hooker visits.
either way he is screwed and will be gone by tomorrow night.
