+3 Internets | Name my puppy I have an odd request. I have put a deposit down on a Boxer puppy. He is currently one week old and I will go see him at four weeks and take him home at seven. He is a brindle male (that is my preference and there are two in the litter). I have named my pets after mythology in the past. I have had cats named Pandora, Athena, Andromeda, and Maia. I haven't owned a dog in years, even though I'm more of a dog person than a cat person. Currently I'm leaning towards Ares for the name. It means god of war if what I'm reading is correct. Another I thought of was Apollo, but a god of beauty and poetry may not fit a Boxer. So, here I am asking for your help in coming up with names for him. I don't post here much, but I am an avid reader of several forums on this site. Thanks in advance! This is the darker of the two brindles http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...ckjack1wk2.jpg http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...ckjack1wk1.jpg This is the lighter brindle http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...12/Ace1wk2.jpg http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...12/Ace1wk1.jpg Also, in case anyone wonders what they may look like at maturity. Here is mom and dad. I'm not having the ears cropped on this puppy. http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...4212/Angel.jpg http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...4212/Demon.jpg Last edited by Ender4212 : 02-15-2008 at 05:59 PM. |

+3 Internets | I have never owned a Boxer, but I know a friend who has one and she's a nice enough dog. I have heard nothing but good things. I have a 12 year old son. We live alone together, so this is basically to be our third family member, and I hear these dogs are very good companions. |

+3 Internets | Isn't he that asshat that makes video game movies that all suck? I have never seen one of his films and don't plan on it. I have seen most of you bitching about him though. Some interesting ideas so far, as well as some dipshit posts, but I'll take both types. I am interested in knowing why some may or may not like Boxers as a pet. |

+3 Internets | Yeah, we plan on daily long walks. I'd also like to let him run some, assuming we get him very well trained. The last thing I want is an energetic puppy (who looks like a big, mean dog) scaring the shit out of someone and he won't come when I call him. Last edited by Ender4212 : 02-15-2008 at 06:27 PM. |
