Web Cams - What to look for?

I'm looking to get a web cam for the girlfriend and I to use after we graduate, we aren't going to be seeing each other much for about a year, so we wanted to try web cams and all that jazz...

Anyone know what I should get? Looking for something with as little "lag" as possible (video lag/ghosting).

I don't really know what to look for in buying web cams so any intel would be grand, also and 1337 input on upcoming cams that I should hold out for works too!

Unless you have a good bit of upstream for a quality picture, it honestly doesn't matter. All webcams are basically the same, Logitech is a solid choice.

If you do have a lot of upstream, you can use a DV camera hooked directly to your computer as a web cam. Price of quality.

Honestly, buy the cheap crap. After a few months she will be whoring off on some other dude anyway and i dont think you want to see that in high def.

First, good luck on long distance.

Second, go with a high resolution and such.

(Logitech Quickcam STX is decent.)
