Free MS Server 2008, SQL 2008, Visual Studio 2008. Most of you don't need this or don't care or aren't anywhere near Indiana. You should know that there are events being hosted all over the country so check the webpage for the one nearest you.

If anyone else is going to the Indianapolis one let me know and we can meet up there. And yes I know I could pirate the software but I like getting the free versions (Got Vista free and the last two versions of office free and legit)

I see now. You're one of those people that looks for reasons to be offended. It must be frustrating to go through life like that.

Awesome, and thanks for the heads up. I'm going to have to mark this in my calendar as there is one of these events in my city.

Asa rule of thumb. I never use any of Microsoft tools, until they have been released into the public for at least one year.

Programming is hard enough, not in the mood for trying to battle a new development suit possible full of bugs.

Get it free today from Microsoft legit w/o going to an event.

Visual Studio 2008 Trial Downloads

Evaluate Microsoft SQL Server 2008 today

Evaluate the Windows Server 2008 Release Candidate today

Sometimes you get some CDs with sample code for the latest tools (LINQ,Silverlight 2.0) at those events though which can be fun to play with. VS 2008 / .NET 3.5 is great =)

Also the last MS event I went to was at a movie theater. In addition to the free event I got a $15 gift card for that movie theater.

As a SQL person I'm really excited to see what they do with SQL Server 2008. I've been very impressed with the improvements they've done from 2000 to 2005. I hope this is also a big jump.
